My sister's husband and I had a heated discussion, in which he said some terrible nasties. (I did not raise my voice at all, or even say anything I would regret later)

They were things a person would not ever say to someone they considered a friend (which we were up to this point). He has not apologized (and does not plan to do so), which to me, says he meant every word.

My sister says to "let it go" and forget about it, but I refuse to pretend like it didn't happen. He is normally a difficult person, but we have always "put up" with him before.

I am upset with him for saying the nasty things he said, but am expected to forgive him and just act like normal. I refuse. I know I am being stubborn, but am I wrong to be holding a grudge for this?

Did England just not qualify for the under 20 World Cup, and if so, who beat them out?
I notice that Wales or either of the Irish teams are there?

I have been wanting to quit smoking for along time now and I have tried and tried to but it is very hard!

I have notice in the morning it is very difficult.
Because I will light up not realizing it and then after lighting up I remember that I was going to quit that day!
My husband also smokes so they are always around!

I need some tips on how to quit.
I know what my triggers are:
~ First thing when I wake up
~ After every meal
~ Talking on the phone
~ Driving in the car (but not with my son ...The urge is still their though)
~ Before going into buildings (if I know I will be in there for awhile)
~ Anytime I see someone else smoking
~ Visiting family
~ getting stressed
~ getting excited
~ getting mad
ect...ect...ect...
The list goes on... But I WANT TO QUIT
One of the main reasons is for my son
I don't want him growing up thinking it's ok to smoke!
and it's taxing my health!

Okay me and my husband have been seperated for a couple of months and we are finally working thru our problems. At my job i was finally given a weekend off so i made plans to go see him plus my daughter has been asking to see daddy. I went into work and another manger from another store changed the schedule and has me working this weeked. ( for the 4 months i have been working there i have never had a weekend off). when i told her that i made plans and they were hard to break she pretty much told me tough and that i had to work. I have another job and work at this one part time that was another reason she didnt give me the days off. she also told me i was part time and the least i could do was work a full day on the weekend.

So my question is should i still go like planned and promised or stay?

I keep having dreams that my husband is cheating on me with someone at work. I will admit that I am the jealous type and it does run through my head sometimes, but those are childhood issues that i take out on my husband. Otherwise, he doesnt show any telltale signs of cheating. Some people tell me that I dream this b/c that is on my mind and others tell me that its a sign. What do you think?

Well, though I am a conscientious student, my gardes aren't where they should be. I had a 93 average in freshman year and only an 87 average this past sophomore year. I will try to aim higher next year and get a 98 average. I got a 3 on my ap world history exam. scored an 85 percentile on the PSAT ( Ill do better next year!). Im the leader of my school band, have worked in a printing company and a dentist's office. National Honor Society. Arista, was in the Borough wide band, National Vocabulary Championship participant, volunteered at a hospital and senior citizen center.

Im hoping to get into Stanford, which is my dream school, and I know its aiming pretty high considering my terrible grades and minimal extra curricular activities. whats the best college do you think I can get into if I improve in junior year. is it too late?! ohmy. and what can I do to up my chances at getting into a prestigious college? thank you!

I've read that many agnostics refuse the label atheism because they think that "non belief" requires a value judgment that they are incapable or unwilling to give. But atheists see their state as a light switch: on for deity belief, off if not. In that situation, the value only applies to the one who chooses to believe, the non-belief is not a value judgment in their eyes.

So which is it , are you born agnostic or atheist? Are we just playing semantic games?

The parents have been divorced a year. I have been the bf for 8 months. they have excact split costudy. 2 days on 2 days off. only child..A kid is a very new thing to me.. I personally think his dad lets him get away with everything. And me and the mom try to set boundries. If he doesnt get his way he throws a fit/tantrum/cries/sometimes hits. we have taken the sugar away. GF has given me permission to start disciplining him. the extent of it for me is, if he is acting up i tell him to stop...I dont do the time outs or anything, no yelling. He wakes up in the middle of the night crying for his t.v. which was taken away because of his behavior. normally loud. runs off. cant stay still. hits his friends. screams and cries during timeout chair thing. yells at his mom. And rare but on some days he is good. I dont know how to deal. or what to do. tips of dealing with him please?
