Well, though I am a conscientious student, my gardes aren't where they should be. I had a 93 average in freshman year and only an 87 average this past sophomore year. I will try to aim higher next year and get a 98 average. I got a 3 on my ap world history exam. scored an 85 percentile on the PSAT ( Ill do better next year!). Im the leader of my school band, have worked in a printing company and a dentist's office. National Honor Society. Arista, was in the Borough wide band, National Vocabulary Championship participant, volunteered at a hospital and senior citizen center.

Im hoping to get into Stanford, which is my dream school, and I know its aiming pretty high considering my terrible grades and minimal extra curricular activities. whats the best college do you think I can get into if I improve in junior year. is it too late?! ohmy. and what can I do to up my chances at getting into a prestigious college? thank you!

Good Luck getting into Stanford. Only 9% of the students who apply get in. You have to have Chelsea Clinton or Tiger Wood's caliber to get into Stanford.

yeah, that was my goal too (not stanford though, i wanted to go to art school)
it's not getting in thats the hard part, it's paying for it. i got a least partial scholarships to every school i applied to, but out of state tuition is a *****!
besides, its not very important which school you go for for your undergrad, but grad school is really important.
if you plan on going to grad school, i'd just go to an in-state college, it won't make a difference in the long run, i swear.
