I am 32 year old recovering heroin addict and a father of a 7 year old son. I have struggled with heroin addiction since I was 15 years old, I divorced from my ex-wife back in '05. I have been clean for 3 months now. My wife ended up getting full custody of our son when we divorced because of my addiction.
I am trying to straighten up my life. I attend narcotics anonymous every single day. I haven't missed a day for 3 months. Would it be unreasonable to ask for visitation with my son? I just want to see my son, I love him more than anything on Earth, and I want to be there for him. How could I go about petitioning for custody, because my wife will not let me see him at all because she said " I am not a father to him anymore".

What do I do? when someone who geniunely cares asks if you become their wife, gives you an engagement ring, and constances promises to come back home, stays in touch via phone but lives down south and yet when the time came to make the break, can't actually do it, but expects me to continue wait its been 6 months now, what was suppose to be three days away. He has been generous - looked after me well, but when push comes to shove, he rings and says its over, yet a few days later rings back and say hang in there, I want you.. I am tired of playing second fiddle. Your suggestions please

I occasionally see them advertised in my newspaper and I'm intrigued by them, but I don't know about their care and feeding. Do they roam free in the house? Are they good with cats and small children? What do they eat? Any advice, pros and cons, would be appreciated. Do they have health issues? By bodily hair, I'm talking about tooshie hair. I've got some like most guys or at least I think most guys have some. Anyway, obviously I'm a bit self-conscious about it especially when I'm being "intimate" with my girlfriend. She hasn't said anything, but I don't know if that's cause 1) I'm good at hiding it from her, 2) she doesn't care, or 3) she doesn't know how to bring it up with me.
