My answer might surprise you..I've had a lot of physical pain in my life and have had quite a lot of surgeries. My son was born via C-section and the pain afterwards was no picnic. And yet, MUCH worse than that and definitely the worst pain I've ever had was b/c of a boil under my arm. A boil is like a really large pimple that's filled with blood and pus and often caused by ingrown hairs (sorry to be gross!)...b/c it was in my armpit, all my lymphnodes got infected, I had a high fever and I couldn't even lift my arm. It was the most horrendous pain I've ever had. It burned like crazy and just felt like a million little knives were stabbing me. It was unlike any pain I've ever felt and I hope to God I never get a boil again. I had to have it drained surgically...it was the only time in my life I've ever gone to the ER. So it's really weird that I've had my stomach cut open to have a child taken out and a host of other surgeries/pains, etc., and yet a pimple was the worst pain of my life!

Migraine headaches. The pain is so bad at times I pass out or throw up for hours. I can't stand the pain. Sometimes I think a bullet is the only thing that will bring me relief. I've had a kidney stone too large to pass & had to have surgery to remove it. I've had a rhinoplasty, eyelift, c-section, hysterectomy, swollen toncils that had to be removed, labor pains (2 children) & a tummy tuck & broke stitches twice. I've also had carpel tunnel & de Quervain Syndrome & had to have surgery for that. I also have a slipped disc in my back that puts pressure on my sciatic nerve & had to have epidural steroid injections. Sometimes I can hardly walk & my leg is numb. But with all of those surgeries & ailments combined it doesn't compare to a full blown migraine headache. It's funny how something that isn't so serious can be so damn painful.

I have 2 that kind of both qualify for worst:

The most intense one was after I got a filling in one of my bottom molars, apparently it went so deep, the metal filling was touching a raw nerve! After the freezing wore off, the pain just kind of attacked me all of a sudden. I was doubled over, holding my jaw! It felt like a drill (and not a dentist's drill, but one of those kind that they use on the pavement!) was drilling right into my nerve! I lived alone, so I drove myself to the ER and I had to wait a bit, but I think I got in sooner because I was crying so hard! I was 20 then and I hadn't cried from pain since I was little, nor have I cried from pain since, but that time, I just couldn't help it! The doctor gave me painkillers and sent me home. I took them for a while, but the pain ended up fading on it's own too. It was just for a few hours there it was unbearable!

The other one was my c-section. Not as intense pain, but it lasted 10 days after the c-section (I'm talking about pain so bad, I couldn't move without wincing - most ladies who have had a c-section know what I'm talking about). They gave me an epidural and morphine for the surgery, but they wouldn't give me morphine after for fear of addiction, so once the epidural wore off, there was nothing to help for the pain. They gave me all kinds of different painkillers, and nothing made a difference! After the Demerol didn't make a difference, the doctor ordered a DOUBLE dose of the stuff, and it STILL didn't make a difference! And they absolutely refused to let me try the morphine again. So basically, I had a gash in my stomach, through the skin, the muscle, the uterus, and all the other layers of stuff they have to cut through (there are 7 layers, but I don't remember them all) without the aid of painkillers afterward. Plus then there were all the nurses who loved to pretend they were kneading dough when they "inspected" how far my uterus had shrunk, although there was one nurse who only caused me minor discomfort, which makes me wonder - if she can feel what she needs to without putting me through aggravating pain every time, how come the other nurses can't? Bags!

During football practice at my high school a few years back I recall being knocked down...or falling down...or something like that, and as I was getting up somebody ran full force into my head for some reason and pushed my head in some odd angle. Anywho my neck made an extremely loud cracking noise...I recall intense pain...and apparently i passed out for a few minutes, the next thing i know im in the back of an ambulance going to a hospital....good times.

worst pain umm that would probably be when i was in labor 3 times for a total of 60 hours. you have not felt pain like the pain of someone taking a vice grip to your insides ever 5 minutes and there is no comfort. then trying to push something out the size of a watermelon out of a hole the size of a penny.

The worst pain i have been in is when I had my foot sliced open, I had stepped on a peanut buter jar and it cut clean down to the bone! or having my finger smashed in between two rocks about 23 inches around.

When I had to have an emergency C-section and when I woke up, I didn't have anything to numb me, like a spinal block or epidural, and could feel every single nerve ending! For a week I couldn't really get my pain under control. When I had my second baby via C-section, and I had a spinal block, it was a piece of cake.

I have been pretty lucky. I've not experienced a lot a physical pain. I did though fall out of a window before.

ok, this was horrible but you wouldn't think it would be the worst.
I was walking around in a field of sticks and crap and one poked me in the eye so I flinched my head hard to the left and a little stick poked through my left eardrum. I dropped to the ground immediately and nearly passed out! I have never felt such pain nor did I think that kind of pain was even possible. If felt like my brain itself was poked with a screwdriver!
