I wonder if the reason was to bring blacks into the military.
I think the North was running out of soldiers and needed replacements and the fastest soloution was to allow black soldiers to serve in combat?
This is a real question that I am looking for an answer to.
Historians help me out here.

Now that im postive he likes me [from all of ur positive feedback] How can i suggest to him i like him back?[maybe a subtle/slightly obvious way] ive never been really good at telling guys straight up that i like them...but i would like to know how i can do this without screwing things up or waiting to long? like from a Guys perspective what would you like a girl to in this case? For the past month, my right buttocks cheek has been sore (it feels like a pulled muscle). But lately, in addition to the right butt cheeck pain, my spine/back on the lower right side hurts a lot as well. A friend of mine says it could be a tight hamstring, but others have said it could be some serious back deterioration. Anyone experience this?

I am in Michigan because my girl cousin and my wife's boy cousin, who met at our wedding in Massachussetts, are getting married this week and we have family things planned with both sets of relatives.

One of my distant cousins, who didn't attend, just said that our cousins' upcoming nuptials "sort of redeem what you did" and, while I was stunned from that, expressed her hope that "you two can come out of that lifestyle and know their joy."

I told her she could "take this as an RSVP--we're not coming to [her mom's, my great-aunt's] house" tonight." And then I slammed the phone in her ear. But I'm still really, really upset, and I'll be seeing her a couple days from now if not earlier.

If any friends here could please explain to me why I shouldn't scream, cuss and/or take a swing at her when I see her, I'd *really* appreciate it.

I'm a father & I want at LEAST joint custody of my 13yo girl. Here are the particulars:

I'm a career soldier (15 yrs) that will retire in under 5 years.

The same judge awarded custody of my youngest daughter from a previous relationship to me late last year.

*Her mother is in her mid 30's & hasn't worked a day in her life (no B.S). Our taxes has always paid for her welfare / section 8.

* She's always had custody

* My girl was raped by one of her boyfriends @ the age of 5.

* My daughter wants to stay w/ both of us not just her mom all the time.

* My child support NEVER is spent on my girl. Her grandparents get here what she needs.

You'll be mowing your own lawn and someone comes up to you asking how much you charge? I don't know how it is everywhere, but in my area there are a lot of gardeners for hire that are Mexican. One time my dad was mowing our lawn and this lady walks up to him assuming he was a worker and asking how much he charged. Not even considering the fact that a Mexican could possibly own property in a nice area. So I just want know if this has happened to anyone else. I'm sure it has though

I planted a lot of different colored impatien flowers in my garden this year and I've notice that after they bloom the color starts bleaching out of the blooms. It doesn't happen on all the plants or on all the blooms but it is more noticable on the the more vivid colors. I've grown these plants before and I've never seen them do this.

Anybody know what is causing this and if anything can be done?
