If you have red color on your hair, it will tend to suck the color out a bit and if it's really high protein conditioner, too much protein can make your hair break too. However, once in a while isn't going to hurt it at all. Done it myself a few times. If you want to leave something on to condition, try mayo or virgin olive oil, plastic bag on the head for heat and keep it on for about an hour, stinks but works great.

I would think your hair would be tacky and unmanageable. Would you even be able to run a comb through it?
The do offer a wide selection of leave in conditioners. I've used Loreal and Aussie with great results.

You will have greasy, dirty looking hair.
It's not designed to stay in over recommended time - it won't improve the effect.
Even deep conditioners have a recommended time.
