When they actually put money into the team, the fans DID come out!

Not unless it's for a goodwill delegation series, like those played in Mexico, Japan, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico in recent years.

MLB wanted out of Montreal. It just needed to find the right bagman to (deliberately) bollix things up beyond hope and, er, drop the ball. Which Loria did. He's one of Seligula's BFFs.

I never understood having MLB teams in Canada since it's "America's Pastime". I don't think there will ever be another Canadian baseball team in the MLB. I'm sure there will be other professional baseball teams there, just none associated with the majors. I actually think they will eventually move the Blue Jays to a place where there is no team. A place where there isn't a stadium in driving distance, such as North Eastern Montana or Central Idaho. One day they might be called the Boise Blue Jays. It has a nice ring to it. Edit: I almost forgot... There's hardly any money or profit in the Blue Jays franchise. They hardly ever sell out games and don't sell nearly enough merchandise. Canada is more into hockey and it shows every time you watch the Blue Jays and Canucks. The Canucks always have double the ticket sales. So it would also make sense money wise to move them out of Canada.

Unfotrunalntly, chances are as slim as the skinniest man in the world.

They reason they left was becuase the didn't make enough money and they had to forfit the franchise. Porbally most Canadiens were more interested in hockey.

Whaat I don't like the most is that they had to "forfit the franchise" like it was some kind of buisness. Baseball should be played for fun, and if people don't show up then who cares, just play. To bad though

No. There really shouldn't have been one there in the first place. It's a tribute to their scouting and front office that the team stayed there as long as it did.
It was a AAA mainstay once, and should be in the IL soon. Give it time. . . .
