With all the western corporations coming to China and all of the economic growth, can China maintain its unique culture? In 50 years will rural Chinese still live without electricity farming as they did hundreds of years ago? Will the quaint Chinese architected towns still remain? Or will Chinese culture fall to skyscrapers and McDonalds?

We waited 7 years (we married quite young). Do you think age has a lot to do with it or buidling the relationship solid at first then proceding with having children once you are well settled?

i have about 20 mosquito bites on me and im afraid im going to get triple E or the west nile virus.

I agreed to be in a friends wedding. When I agreed to be in her wedding initially a medical thing I have to wear was supposed to be gone by wedding day but there were complications. She decided early that she must have the carbon copy BM's and chose a dress and we ordered it thinking my condition would be gone. I could physically wear it now but would be uncomfortable and embarassing since it would show my medical thing. I told her I will not wear the dress and tried to back out when she refused to let me wear a diff. style in the same color. Now she is crying that I have ruined her day because she will have uneven bridesmaid numbers and there isn't time for replacement. She has also uninvited me to the wedding since I will not wear this dress.

I am not sure who's right.

Note: I don't want to go into detail about what it is but I am not pregnant and it is not something common like a cast.

I seen a really pretty topical fish it was blue and had a little spot on top of its head that was a peachy, pink color. It was in with I think it was something called fruit Mixed Tetra. With out a picture any one have any idea's what it may be. It really didnt look like any of the other fruit mix tetra in the tank. Thanks

It seems like whatever I do, I can't be the best--or even my best. Dancing is my love, but I don't feel I'm good at it. I take two classes, and the teachers constantly point people out and say who's good, and I'm never one of them. I don't even think they know who I am. I love dancing, but why bother if I'm not good. I can't like doing something if I suck at it....

I moved to a new city a few months ago and I have been having a really hard time meeting people. It's one of those places where if you smile at somebody, they immediately think you are weird and up to something no good so they treat you like a psycho if you try to be nice. I have been unable to break through to a single person, it's like these people are so settled in their lives that they don't really care if I am in it or not and unwilling to even get to know me. I'm a nice person, laid back with a good sense of humor, and I have been told I am attractive....I'm kind of shy, but I've put myself out there a couple of times trying to get to know people, and it's like they just have no interest in me. I've been really discouraged and feeling really badly. Has anyone else had a similar experience, and does it really get better with time? People back home keep telling me that it will, but I swear I honestly feel worse as time goes on.
