Why did the WMO chose the 30 years between 1961-1990 as the Climate Normal Period?
Was there are particular reason, such as the spatial coverage of data being better for that time period? Or was it just arbitrary?

Also, did the Climate Normal Period 'flip' to 1971-2000 when we entered the 21st century?

Are most liberals behind (or support) the censorship of media?

For example: Banning violent video games, cleaning up "foul language" on radio and TV, and enforcing age restrictions for purchasing explict music.

If not, who is?

i argued a called at our game today. the opposing player squared away to bunt the ball. he NEVER pulled the bat back. our catcher threw the ball down to third to catch the baserunner stealing. i asked the umpire what the call was,to be sure he called the strike. he said the batter pulled back and the pitch was a ball. i asked the field umpire for an appeal, and he said the batter didnt make an effort toward the pitch. my point is this, if you are squared to bunt the ball, that right there is an effort at the pitch. if the batter does not pull the bat back, the pitch should be a strike. the field umpire says thats not correct and he still needs to move the bat in an attempt to strike the ball. who is correct???? i think we got a horrible call. from day one, i was taught that if you arent going to bunt the ball, remember to always pull your bat back on a bad pitch. now he didnt move the bat at all, he was squared for the pitch and NEVER pulled the bat back, is it a strike?

Taken from the EPA's website:

"Scientists are certain that human activities are changing the composition of the atmosphere, and that increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases will change the planet's climate..."

HERE IS THE KICKER:
"...But they are not sure by how much it will change, at what rate it will change, or what the exact effects will be."

http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/basicinfo.html

Don't you think we should know those things before we start fearmongering?

Liberals seem so eager to start forcing legislation on Americans this instant to stop a "problem" of which we have no idea of what the effects will be.

And they smear and attack anyone who wants to wait for actual, accurate EVIDENCE and DATA before they blindly swear allegiance to Al Gore.

What is so wrong with wanting to have scientific PROOF?

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and last night after having a bowel movement (sorry tmi) I noticed a really light brown (almost tan) color mixed in with my normal vaginal discharge when I wiped, I only noticed it that one time and haven't noticed it anymore since. I haven't had any cramps or anything either. Should I be concerned?

If a US Military man marries a national, has a baby on base during a tour in that country, what would the baby's certificate state as to the place of birth? This would be in the early '60's.

I am 20 years old, my husband is 25. We've been married for almost 2 years now, been together a total of 5 years. We are seriously considering expanding our family and trying to conceive. I will be receiving by Bachelor's degree in 1 year and he is already finished with college and we both have excellent careers and provide for us financially... and some extra we've been saving for a few years. His parents think we should start when we're ready (and we are) but my parents want me to wait a few more years. Opinions? Thanks in advance!
