It's a myth. Hair growth is more noticable when it is freshly shaved, and may look a bit darker because it is just stubble, but hair color is determined by genetics, not shaving.

Dang it. Gloria beat me to it with the mayo clinic article. But yes, this is indeed a myth. The only way you can actually change your hair, anywhere on your body is to actually damage or change the hair follicule under the skin. shaving does not do that.
And if it were true, I should urge all men who are going bald prematurly to go shave their heads now. It will promote hair growth. However, it is not true.

it does for most people but not all. I have been shaving my legs for as long as i can remember and it always comes back blonde and it isnt the least bit darker. I guess it just depends on who you are and how your body works. Hope this helped

that is obviously a lie, i have shaved my legs for ages, if that was true they would be covered in hours, and theyre not! i can go a couple days without even stubble!

well logically i dont see why it would. but from past experiences (with PETS not me :D) they're hair sometimes grew in differently
