Most lawn fertilizers are high in nitrogen. Look at the NPK numbers on the fertilizer bag (like 30-10-10). The first number is the nitrogen content. Nitrogen feeds green growth, stems and leaves.

Blood Meal is all Nitrogen, You can buy it at wal-mart and other garden centers. Just work a little into the soil. It also helped to deter deer from eating my hostas, because they smelled the blood and avoided the area. It is always a good idea to get a soil test to check how much of anything your soil needs. Your county extension office can give you info you need about that.

Fertilizer is mostly nitrogen. When you look at the label of any bag of fertilizer the nitrogen level is called out.

You can buy fertilizers that contain nitrogen. Any place that sells that kind of stuff should have it - Walmart Supercenter, Steins, Menards, etc.
Also when you mow the grass, don't attach a bag to the lawn mower, so the clippings return their nutrients to the soil.

Most lawn fertilizers are very high in nitrogen. Your question isn't very detailed, so my answer isn't either.
