Is there anyone here familiar with this case in particular, and could quite possibly enlighten a person as to what this woman can do besides what she already has done. She was not allowed the 10 days provided in the new ordinance created back in May of 2006, that would allow her to place her monkey else where out of state.. She is being forced to pay a very hefty dollar amount to the zoo he was placed in until this is over with. She has since given ownership to a lady in another state, but the governing forces want it to be where they want .
I know there just has to be something that has either been overlooked, or just not in the books in order for her to obtain her rights as stated in the ordinance to relocate him. I know many do not agree with private ownership of a small monkey , but if you could please put that aside, and consider what her rights are. She is financially exhausted at this point, but is willing to fight her best to get what did belong to her. There are loopholes.
