i think he'll be better suited for new york than chicago.. they could offer a variety of player combinations that would be beneficial for the lakers.. a package among these choices - steve francis, jamal crawford, channing frye, david lee, malik rose, and nate robinson could convince the lakers to part ways with kobe.. plus getting rid of kwame brown's contract could sweeten the deal.

If Kobe gets traded he won't end up in the Western Conference. But I think he'll remain with the Lakers. The Lakers will trade Lamar Odom to some other team for a franchise player that will satisfy Kobe's needs.

Chances are he'll still be wearing a Lakers uniform when the NBA opens in November but if he does get traded he will go East. Probably to the Bulls or Knicks.

The Bulls have the best chance of landing him. They can send Gordon, Wallace, and the 9th pick in the draft (which the lakers would use to take Conley Jr.). The Bulls are the only team who can maneuver themselves to take on his large contract.
