It entirely depends on how faded they already are.
Stretch marks start off as very obvious red squiggly lines, you get them from rapidly gaining and then losing weight. As soon as you notice them start applying a lotion or moisturiser that is rich in vitamin E this will help them to fade. Another popular option is coco butter and it works the same way as vitamin E (and smells really nice). After repeated use (several months I'm afraid) they will fade to white lines that aren't as obvious, however faded stretch marks don't disappear altogether and if you are a beach bunny here's a lil' warning...they don't tan.
The only way of completely removing stretch marks is either laser surgery or chemical peels, however both of these procedures are expensive and painful.
I wouldn't worry to much though, when i was young i gained a LOT of weight and then dropped it. I still have the faded white marks but have found that i notice them more then anyone else.

erm, sad to say that stretch marks can never be get rid of...but u can reduce it by applying anti stretch marks lotion that can be found in the market...
