Your own religions permit it? No religious scripture of the three scriptures of Christians, Jews and Hindus stop from polygamy.
In earlier times, Christians were permitted to have as many wives as they wished, since the Bible puts no restriction to the number of wives. It was only a few centuries ago the Church restricted the number of wives to one.
Polygamy is permitted in Judaism. According to Talmudic law, Abraham had three wives, Solomon had hundreds of wives. The practice of polygamy was continued until Rabbi Gershom ben Yehudah issued an edict against it.
Earlier, there was no restriction on the Hindu men in respect to the number of wives. It was only in 1954, when the Hindu Marriage Act was passed that it became illegal for a Hindu to have more than one wife. Many Hindu religious personalities, according to their scriptures, had multiple wives. Krishna had several wives while King Dashrat (Father of Rama) had more than one wife.
So none of the holy books stop you from polygamy.

I feel bad about the way that my life has turned out in comparison to others.

I constantly feel bad and sad about my marriage failing. I also do not have custody of my 15 year old daughter. I feel bad that I could not give her the best in life. She lives with her Dad in another state.

At my age, most people are busy raising their kids. They give their kids time, attention and love.

I am alone and have to find things for myself to do. I also don't have the satisfaction of seeing my child grow up.

I guess I do have to look at the positive - I am healthy and have employment at this time. I can also support myself financially and do not need to depend on anyone.

Yet, life seems incomplete without a family. I wonder if my mother-in-law's words will come true in that I will regret not putting my family back together.

My ex-husband wants to get back together with me. Yet, I don't want to because we have both not changed and it will be bad for our daughter.

I had to write this for LA this year in poetry. It was a response poem to a picture of a sunset:

Hiding behind the clouds.
Illuminating the sky.
The day is over.

Let me know what you think!

'm bored and there are no interesting discussions so i thought i would start one, but i can't think of anything interesting so heres some facts:

1) Penguins used to have the ability to fly but as the world got colder it became harder to do and eventually they stopped all together
2) football, the worlds most popular sport was invented by Sir Issac Newton
3) there's more vitamins in a culiflower than an orange
4) table tennis was orginally played by standing on a very large table and volleying the ball to each other, the idea was to avoid falling off at all costs even when confronted with a tough shot, the sport never took off in its home country of Sri Lanka, mainly because it was only ever played by 2 people but when they decided to stand on the floor and hit the ball across the table the common form of the game began
5) The largest single collection of teddy bears in the world was owned by Saddam Hussein until most were destroyed after the museum holding them was bombed

I promised my girlfriend that I would attend her graduation this Tuesday. I'm a freshman in college and she's a senior in high school we've been dating now for 2 years. She also asked me to come to her graduation party months ago.

Here's the problem Tuesday nights are basketball nights with the guys we play Tuesdays and normally if I'm not in class I'm working. This is the first Tuesday that I will have off probably ever because Tuesdays are shipment days where I work. I really want to go play basketball with the guys. I'm not a big fan of graduations and she knows I support her and I am proud of her.

The other problem is I have a best friend from New York who lives 8 hours away. He finally got his license he's 21 (sad, yes) But he finally got his license and is taking a road trip down. I saw him last month. We used to live near each other and we are best friends. Well, he may be coming to visit the week of her graduation party.

I found some questions here on murdered tot James Bulger, and did some research for my answer. Look at this charming stuff:

I was shocked. What the hell? Why would anyone be this cruel and spiteful to a woman who lost her child to murderers?

Attacking cocaine at its source was meant to drive up prices, yet U.S. street dealers are selling it for less than ever.
by Ken Dermota
If the four-year slog in Iraq seems endless, consider this: The “war on drugs,” begun by Richard Nixon, escalated under Ronald Reagan, and continued by every president since, is now in its 37th year. In this long struggle, the past few months have been especially fruitful. In March, the U.S. Coast Guard intercepted a freighter off Panama laden with 20 tons of cocaine, in the largest maritime bust ever. That was followed in April by Colombian authorities’ seizure of a 15-ton cache most likely awaiting shipment to Mexico.
Of course, the good news is soured by the fact that cocaine production remains robust enough to allow shipment in 20-ton batches. The Coast Guard would need to repeat its recent haul about every two weeks to intercept all the cococaine that Colombia sends north, and there’s no guarantee traffickers wouldn’t just ship more to make up for the losses, as they have always done.

Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

Whenever I duck underwear, I always need to hold (or close) my nose using my right hand. I was wondering if any you guys get water up your nose like me. I asked my family about it, but one of my cousins (he's twelve I think) says it's scientifically impossible for water to travel into your nose when you hold your breath while swiming underwater. There were other swimmers that hold their nose similar to what I do but I don't remember hearing the answer to the question I asked my aunt about those swimmers. Please help! I feel like a mutant!

I mean, there are other strong names like Sony, Philips, Panasonic, etc, but why are Pioneer products so good? I've never heard many negative things about their products. Does anyone have a theory or reason? I've had many of their products and they all have been very reliable versus some other names I've had like Philips and they had problems.

Here's the story, got married 5 years back, ever since I got married I really don't like to make friends, never want to have an open conversation with anybody or talk to somebody about me or them. I lost touch with everybody, including my frineds, well wishers. Now I'm absolutely lonely, all by myself; ofcourse with a husband who hardly meets my needs.
I feel insecured, and to summarize I'm not happy. When some body asks me how are; it freaks me off and I tend not to answer as I think people know that I'm not happy.

What do I do to get out of this situation; I'm not happy with the man I married to. is the problem me, or the man or something else? Please help.
