You file on the grounds of desertion or abandonment...they make you take out an ad in the paper for 4-6 weeks in the last place that he was known to live and if he doesn't respond it is usually granted.

That's easy...........Take out an add in the news paper where you both are thought to live. Make the add say looking for lost husband. Seeking divorce. Wait two to three weeks. If no reply take news paper to a divorce lawyer and pay for your divorce. Crazy I know but this will work for the judge.

There are ways to track him down. If you know his social security #. does he have any active credit cards and if so do you have an old bill with the account #. You probably won't be able to access the info but a good lawyer could. If you think he's still in the same state as you try a bank account or if he emptied an old account when he left he may have opened an account with the same bank in another area. Good luck

I think in the state of Alabama you have to run an ad in the newspaper for at least 30 days to give him a chance to respond if he does in that amount of time, your divorce goes on through with or without his answer.

that's very easy.....file all papers like you are going to serve him and place and ADD in the local newspapers..( I am not sure if is 30days) if you get not answer than "BINGO" you are free again, that how I did my Divorce long time ago....
Do you have any kids with him, because if you do than I think is different (sorry I forgot about this) if there are not kids, like I say it before...is real easy.
Good Luck

Look up your state divorce laws on the internet or call & ask
your local clerk of court...
In many ( most ) states, missing spouses are not a problem
and divorce can proceed without their presence or approval.
