Now, I'd like some serious answers from parents here:

Are you responsible for your children?

I just read this story on Yahoo, which basically says these parents got together and decided to sue Kellogg and Nickelodeon. for marketing non-nutritious products to children. What would possibly posess someone to do that? Couldn't you just...... not buy your kids that cereal? What happened to responsibility? I'm not that old, but if my parents didn't want me to have something, I.. wouldn't get it! If I wanted ice cream after dinner, and I didn't eat my dinner, voila! I didn't get ice cream after dinner.

It sickens me how we have to sue and blame everyone for what should be our responsiblity. I'm not a parent, so maybe I'm way off the deep end here, but parents, lets hear your take.

Isn't that a little like telling me I have to believe in 6-foot tall rabbits before I'll start seeing them?

Over and Over I am told I have to take a leap of faith first.

But isn't that what Hitler did when he decided to take over the world and wipe out the Jews?

They say "read the bible". How many popes "read the bible" and decided it was time to kill a new batch of heretics, or start a war against the Mulsims? How many preachers on either side of the Civil War preached that God does/doesn't condone slavery?

They say "read it with an open mind", but "open mind" looks a lot like the "closed mind" of a religious zealot.

Then when nothing works, they say I'm not "serious" enough or "sincere" enough. In other words, since I'm not a believer, I can't find God.

Bottom line seems to be I'm supposed to take their word for it: God is real. Would you buy a car like that? If not, how less likely is it you will swear life-long allegiance to a god with no more reason than that?

He calls me lazy and stupid sometimes, and that I act like my mother. He tells me the house should be spotless, but I'm taking care of him, our two small children and HIS three dogs. I have to clean multiple times a day to pick up the small mess my children make ( they pick up the big mess) He says hurtful things like "maybe you should just leave" or " go ahead and cheat I want you to" He is very bi polar and refuses to take medication. He comes from a broken family because his dad's family killed his mom. he is really stressed out from work, and I sort of add to the stress a little bit. When he puts me down I feel depressed and detached from my children. Other days he is good and treats me well. He has this guy friend where he works and when the friend is happy my husband is happy, when the friend is mad he takes it out on everyone including my husband and my husband brings it home.

I have a ford fiesta 1.25, it has a 12v battery. I just want a nice basic install around 12'' sub not to big - but big enough. I generally dont have a clue about all the technical issues like ohms and rms and stuff like that!!! but have a basic knowledge of electronics. And alot of you guys sound like real experts that i need a bit of advice from!. I am going to replace the door speakers and just asking if these would run easily off a headunit (kenwood probaly) or would they need to be connected to the amp. Also would 5'' component speakers be ok on their own or would i need additional speakers ie 6x9s on the rear shelf. Cheers guys!. ps i know this question is lacking alot of technical specifications like what size amp amp and what type of head unit but the i havent got that yet so just consider everything to be avarage i.e not to big not to small.

I want to start a fresh water aquarium with tropical fish (no goldfish). I've gone to the pet store, searched on the net, and am basically just overwhelmed with information as of right now.
Aquarium starter kits, heating, lighting, ph levels, air pumps, plants, fake plants, decorations, rocks, etc. WOW!!! HELP ME!
Can someone break it down for me on what I need (just the starting out essentials), what the stuff does, and basically just give me a straight answer for someone new to it all? Thanks very much!!!

My neighbor found out her dog could hardly hear from the veterinarian. He determined that the problem was hair in its ears, so he cleaned both ears and the dog could hear fine.
The vet then proceeded to tell the lady that if she wanted to keep this from reoccuring she should go to the store and get some "Nair" hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once a month.
The lady went to the drug store and gets some "Nair" hair remover. At the register, the druggist tells her,"If you're going to use this under your arms don't use deodorant for a few days."
The lady says,"I'm not using this under my arms."
The druggist says,"If you're using it on your legs don't shave for a couple of days."
The lady says: "I'm not using it on my legs either. If you must know, I'm using it on my schnauzer."
The druggist says: "Stay off your bicycle for a week."

In 65, we counted the VC dead. I served from 63 to 75 and my last contribution was flying the evacuation.

Now we count the American Dead. That SUX. We are losing youth. Even if we could see it wasn't the thing to do it does not bring them back. I would trade with one of those sons, daughters and parent to bring them back.

I did my time thinking this would not happen again. Just like my Father did in the 35th Calvary in WWI.

Yeah I don't have a question. Just. tears. Been there. Done that. Don't think it's gonna get better.

Example: Boys Toys: GI-Joe, X-Men, Toy Guns etc..

Toys for boys seem to have themes that are unreal/fantisy and don't happen normally. They also tend to have violent themes.

Example: Girls Toys: Easy Bake Oven, Play Makeup, baby dolls where you change diapers and feed.

Toys for girls seem to emulate or suggest future roles for girls who later become women. These toys also are more real or down to earth not abstract.

Why don't they make a baby doll so boys can lean to be better fathers. Or Easy bake ovens for men. Men can cook right.

Do you guys understand what I'm saying.
