I have run across many Christians who say this part is symbolic and that is literal in the bible, couldn't the whole Jesus story be just another symbolic part which was doctored up a bit.

What follows “Middle”? Has our language doomed us to end our civilization because of lables? Or, are we connected to the greater Being (or interconnected to each other) causing us to lable 1000’s as “Middle” thereby forcing our “End” here and now?

What will happen if civilization as we know it lasts another 10,000 years … is calling the years 1000-1800 “Middle-Ages” appropriate?

I have an appointment for the gynecologist to check for pcos, but not untill august... I was just wondering if you know the first steps that the doc does to diagnose it,. Or if there is anything I can do in the mean time to help the doc out then..
I am pretty sure I have it. I have almost all the symptoms except for being overweight..
Me and my hubby have been *trying* for years and nothing has happened. and i am only 23 and he's 25.

Maybe I am just meeting these guys at the wrong places.....
But it seems like there are only 2 types of guys I meet. One type are the ones that barely know you and are in a rush to be in a relationship with you. The other are the guys that just want to play and lead you on. Are there any guys in the middle that can just go with the flow of thing and let things happen when they are right?

Mine doesn't seem to. He's been getting upset with me over mood swings and things like that, and I really can't help it. I'm 11 weeks pregnant and my hormones are going all crazy... he tells me its just an excuse and now he's talking about leaving me because he'd be better off without having to "deal with all my crap." This is a HUGE amount of stress on me; not only am I pregnant, but we have a one and a half yr old and our 3 yr anniversary is only a few days away. I'm losing it.
I just want to know if it's only my situation, or if there are other women out there who feel like their husbands and boyfriends just don't get it or just don't care.

Please speak from experience, rather than theory--or what I mean is theorize on your experience. Also, pure theory is more than welcome, as well; this IS the philosophy section.
I put my question here (as opposed to family and relationships, etc.), because I've grown accustomed to quality thinking here. And, of course, I really want to know your answers. Really....

Note: Tennyson was speaking of death. That's not the sense in which I'm asking, although, it's also valid, of course. I'm thinking about the loss, by rejection, of a lover, partner. But you answer as you're so inspired....

She is a control freak and is always putting their daughter in the middle. What she wants, she gets. She won't even allow him to keep her through Fathers day? She lives out of state is demanding we return her by tomorrow. Everytime we make plans to exchange her the plans are changed last minute, to accomodate her of course. She is re-married with a new life and still trys to control his. How do I get my boyfriend to understand that her threats to call Police and cause a stir are mearly to push his buttons and make him give in? THIS IS A VICIOUS CYCLE. How do I get it to end? She is very demanding and offers him ultimatums quite regularly. He of course complys. She has even written slanderous things about him that are untrue in her personl blog. He is a loving caring and committed father to his little girl. His ex is hell bent on tainting their relationship. HELP ME!

Sorry this is a bit vague but when I was young a friend of my parents told of somone they knew that had sighted a cat like
ghost in their house.All I can remember is that it had long legs and possibly big eyes.They researched and found that local folklore said these sightings where usually linked to areas that used to be marshland.I've searched the net but couldnt find anything.(This was in the UK) Thanks.

i went to the orthodontist just yesterday and he says i'm ready for braces i have a date which is on september 21st.when i take my braces out he said im going to have to wear retainers once a week at night FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!i cant stand that!I know people with worser teeth and they dont have to do that!!!!!is there anyway i can prevent this from happening?

The writing in this show if you a fan you know is phenomenal. I know it's too clever to narrow it down to 3, but if I had to choose I would say:

1. Any 80's reference
2. Stewie talking to Brian trying to act like an "adult": "Hey there Brian....B-rye.....drove my chevy to the levy, but the levy was Bry."
3. A tie between Peter painting like the guy who paints "happy little trees". They cut to his painting and it is the theme and opening of Family Ties, and Peter's sitcom opening for "my black son."

If a lot of people answer....this should be a funny one to read :)
