My dog does that too- he was diagnosed with a food allergy. We are currently in the process of isolating different foods he eats to determine the source of the allergy. Go get your dog checked out by the vet.

Chewing the feet is most commonly a symptom of food allergies. Switch his food to a grain free formula, such as Wellness Simple Solutions.

Take him to the vet. If it isn't OCD (I saw a dog on TV that did this that had OCD), it probably is an allergy. My German Shepherds were doing that and it was determined that they had yeast growing in their paws and ears because they have wheat allergies. They were chewing their paws because they were very itchy. I've had to change their food, and they are no longer able to eat anything with wheat. It means letting everyone they come in contact with knowing about this so that they don't give them table scraps thinking that they are giving them a "treat", because you never know what might be hidden inside!
Good luck!

they sell bittering spray at pet stores that claim you can put right on dogs fur to keep them from chewing on themselves. Unless the dog has a skin condition which can only be ruled out by a vet.

he needs to go to teh vets it could be an infection, mange, or a number of other things a vet would know how to treat it and no one can tell you for sure without seeing and possibly doing a skin scraping to find out.so go to the vets.

he may be allergic to something, or he might be sick. Take him to the vet. for a temporary fix, you might try putting some socks on his feet or something. there are also sprays you can use that make it taste bad.
Hope i helped.

Don't worry - soon you will be taking him for a drag rather than for a walk. The problem will then be solved.
