Today, are scientists generally of the opinion that it's possible to know everything with 100% accuracy? Are the scientists of today educated to believe this; that there is no room for impossible to know variables? The operative word here is "possible".

The Religious perspective is that truth is Absolute and it is the goal of mankind to discover this absolute truth which guides our actions and our way of thinking.

History displays that truth is Relative, even in such world religions where concepts are considered taboo and then normal (best illistration I can come up with is the consumption of pork byproducts which was, in the Old Testament considered forbidden and is now considered normal/acceptable).

My question is, how can we logically defend absolute truth when history and society display such prominent examples of relative truth?

Yesterday, I went to this carnival with a group of my friends. I really like one of them, and I think she may like me, except she has a bf and he wasn't there. After a few hours, we started going on the zipper (its an enclosed cage ride that flips you) and starting the third time, she started holding my hand on the ride. We rode it a few more times, sitting closer and holding hands both times. Now I feel guilty, since we rode so many rides and sat so close and her boyfriend is one of my best friends. Am I a jerk?

I got a loan through my bank to buy a car. I needed my mom to co sing. My mom went ahead and cosigned and I went and found a car i wanted. Now when I went to get the car my mom couldn't go with me so I went and sign my portion and the sells man followed me home so my mom could sign her part. On the way home i noticed the AC wasnt working well come to find out the car doesnt come with AC. I told him i would never buy a car without AC since im planning to move to Las Vegas and i have a 2 year old son. My mom refused to sign the paperwork and the guy left pretty upset. Now my question is since i needed my moms signatures and she didnt sign is the contract not valid and the sale didnt go through? The dealer called me a couple times because they said i need to go in and sign something that says i dont want the car but it tol them why would i need to do that if the sell never went though because my mom didnt sign. Does that also soung right, signing that type of paperwork??

Can i please have a bit of advice? :S I am a 24 year old man who is a student. I have met a nice girl who lives about 7 miles from me, shes the same age and I find her attractive and like her.

The problem here is that when i met her each time I always make an excuse that i need to be somewhere after so many hours, i seem to want to see her but not for too long as I am a homebird and suppose a bit of a loner at heart. I like to meet her but i like to know how long i am going to meet her for. I am so used to being on my own i just get used to my company.I know i worry a lot about money and wonder if i am doiung the right thing going with her when i am student as money can be tight sometimes. i have never had a gf before! we both like each other. Is this normal to feel like this?

I'm a bit fed up of eating ready meals at work - we have a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and one of those sandwich press things. I'd love to cook some pasta, but as we haven't got a hob or saucepans, I can't see any way of doing it, as you can't get a rolling boil.

Has anyone successfully managed to cook dried pasta in a microwave and not get indigestion?
