No Bush can will not bring back the cold war, but Putin would. Putin has been increasing his military by 26%. Wake up, it may be more than a cold war! Don't forget China, North Korea, and Iran, who are also on a military build up.

Its not Bush bringing it back the Russians already did that. Have you not been reading what Putin has been doing for the last 3 - 4 years internally and externally. The Russians are at fault we just need to stand up to them again. How is protecting the rest of Europe with countries that want the protection so evil to Russia it is because they still want to maintain a control over eastern Europe as they did for years.

You are right, Bush is really seeking to restart the cold war... Of course now it is the NATO speaking for him, but still the same... They could save billions by working with the Russian, and now they show that they don't trust them enough to go there... Well, if they don't go, Russia will have very good reasons to be scared of American interests... So again Bush will enjoy it...
Edit: I notice some activism over Yahoo sometimes, I guess it really disturb the Bush Clique that people knows the game he is playing... I guess they are still concerns about looking to be the good boy... Yes Russia is not perfect, but Putin has bring some discipline needed to focus the Russian development.

It seems every political question on this site is either gloom and doom, or gripe and moan. The US won the cold war. The Soviet Union does not exist. Russia is maybe 10% the threat it once was.

The cold war is not over .
Any time you have a nation with the weapons to destroy the world as does the soviet union you have trouble on the horizon .

It is Putin that is firing up that talk.
Or maybe we should let nations like Iran and North Korea rain missles on Europe.
Just to make you happy.

Of course he could. He's already started. I just hope officials with cooler heads (advisors to Putin and Bush) prevail.
