within the past few weeks, my parents have been more and more awkward around each other. dad now says he no longer loves mom and he wants to go out and be on his own (divorce). he still wants to be friends, but no longer sees her as a lover. dad thinks mom is avoiding all of this and mom believes that dad is just having issues. dad says he has made up his mind and just does not know when he will tell her all this, nothing is going to change with him. mom stopped going to marriage counseling cause 'dad is the one with the problem' and it seems as though she is waiting for a miracle to happen to fix their marriage. dad asked if i could talk to mom about everything, but i feel as though that is not my place. after 25 years of marriage, you would think that they would know that they have to talk with each other to work everything out, and not use their children as messengers. i don't know what to do or what to say. my younger teenage sisters are getting upset with all this. any advice?

When i shake my water bottle everytime i shake it the water in the bottle gets colder, why?

ok well one hot day last week i was looking for things to make me cold during class and so i started to shake my waterbottle beucase i was simply bored and then i noticed that suddenly it happend to be colder than when i last touched it, i asked my science teacher about it and she said that i wasn't feeling the water becuase it was in the bottom -the bottle was almost empty-

so then i refilled my bottle and started shaking it then it happend to be cold and my teacher was calling me crazy...... so now im stuck basic science says that when things go faster it gets hotter but in this case it doesnt.. so someone please explain :] thanks

Hi,i'm overweight by 25pounds, i hardly been to the gym,
i joined the gym 2 weeks ago, i go 5 days a week, and by doing cardio i burn 500 callories, some say it's not a good idea to cardio and weights on the same day, i need a advise,

At what level of amazement do you abandon critical thinking, and "write it off to god"?

The type of thinking I mean is based on what I perceive as the point where intelligent people leave behind rationality and succumb to delusional thinking. In other words, there are some brilliant, intelligent, well educated theists out there, but at SOME POINT, they set aside critical thinking, and "give in" to the "god-didit" answer.

What is that point?

Witnessing a "miracle"? What is a miracle? For some it's watching an accident victim be revived. However, most doctors & EMT's don't consider this a miracle.

Is it a tape recorder? Take one to King Arthur's court and you've performed a miracle (or witchcraft!)

Is it magic? Some people believe Chris Angel REALLY can fly, just like Jesus did.

Would it be if the earth stopped spinning? Impossible given our current level of science and physics, but what if a highly advanced alien species had such gravitational control? It's theoretically possible.

So at what point is critical thought "overloaded" leaving god as the explanation?

Honeymoon, Branson or Orlando?

We live about 13 hrs from Orlando and 7 hrs from Branson and we are driving, so is Orlando that much better than Branson? Driving 13 hrs will be rough so we are thinking about just going to Branson instead but should we just tough it out and go to Orlando?

uuuh, snake problem... ?

freaky thing just happened and my friends just saw this snake and we dont know what type it is... can you kinda help us? or just give me pics, or names off the following details? thanks....

uum, it was fairly good sized, 3 feet or longer...

black, yellow thick stripes, like, really bright yellow, and it was night... so yeah.

and there were no VISIBLE white markings, lol.

not a joke, i just need to know if it'll kill us in our sleep or not. :D

so, thanks if you know which, err, maybe a guess of what we're up against.. :P
