We live about 13 hrs from Orlando and 7 hrs from Branson and we are driving, so is Orlando that much better than Branson? Driving 13 hrs will be rough so we are thinking about just going to Branson instead but should we just tough it out and go to Orlando?

I went to Orlando on my honeymoon. It was in June and Orlando is VERY, VERY hot in the summer months. Not to mention that school is out so the theme parks will be extremely crowded. We stood in line to ride some rides at the theme parks for 3 hours in June. We went back the next year in November and got in with almost no wait. most theme parks have the passes where you can come back between a certain time period but it is a pain if you are all the way on the other side of the theme park and when you get back to the ride you still have to wait!
I don't know how Branson is b/c I have never been. I do think that everyone should visit Disney and the other parks down there. So if you wedding is not in the summer then I would say to to Orlando. If it is in the Summer I would stay away unless you do not mind the heat and the long waits. Besides since Branson is that close you can go anytime. Chevy Chase did say it best, "Getting there is half the fun!" Whatever you do have lots of fun!

Orlando is a cultural wasteland, devoid of soul and charm. A plastic city built out of a swamp. I have never been to a place I disliked less.
