I have been trying to shed a few inches, blood pressure, & cholesterol for about the last 5 years. I've finally gotten the diet down, & some jogging & weight lifting. I'm a healthy eating finatic, but I'm still lazy at heart.
I'd like to hear any success stories - without weightloss drugs or surgeries. If you have been able to get in shape without those things & without working out 2 hours a day, it would help motivate me.

My daughter is 4 yrs old and of normal weight. I am worried about Type 1 diabetes. We have done many tests and seen many doctors. Noone is quite sure what is going on with her. She currently is not overly thirsty or peeing alot, but is this way occassionally. We have seen 14 blood sugar readings over 200 in the last 6 months. They are not fasting numbers, but postprandial (after meals). Sometimes they are 1 hr. after a meal or sometimes 2. They do always come back down to normal eventually.

Should I be concerned about these numbers? Does the fact that she has no other symptoms right now mean that this is just how her body is? She spikes a high bg after eating, but then insulin kicks in and she is OK? Is that normal or do you think it is a sign of impending Type 1 Diabetes? Thanks.

I am a master's student semi-dating a man who is in his 30's but does not even have a G.E.D.

The issue is that even though he makes me laugh and we like each other, the educational gap makes me wonder how far we can go. I know that we are not supposed to pick people solely on educational status, but the circles I travel in and work I do because of my degree, I do not know if he could really go along for the ride (and vice versa). He is a truck driver trying to establish his own business. I always have to correct his English, he kind of hates white people, does not like wearing suits, etc........And he constantly ask for clarity when I speak because he feels my words are too complex....I like him and many ways we have a lot in common...However, because I am a young professional building a career and character, he and I, I anticipate, will clash a lot because of life directions...What do you all think?

I have to factor the trinomial, -4a^2 -ab + 5b^2, I have to factor out all common monomials first (including -1 if the lead cofficient is negative.) I think the answer is , -(4a + 5b)( a- b) but I am unsure

i am about 5'8 147lbs and a few months ago i got a eating disorder i wuld not eat 4 days and that didnt make me lose any weight (hardly) i missed lots of school & my dads been threatened with court. ppl say im not fat but i am convinced i am. i have lots of stretchmarks and i hate my self
i get roughly about 30 mins of exercise a day
ive been to the doc about stuff like this and she said there is no way she is putting a 13 yr old girl on a diet
ppl shove me in the corridors at school i end up crying

please help me

I'm always hearing about the benefits of live bacteria cultures in yogurt. I would like to start eating yogurt consistantly to see if it help my digestive system at all, except I hate yogurt! Are there any other foods out there that offer the same benefits?

well my boyfriend is a jerk basically. first of all he ditches me to go with his ex-girlfriend. so wat i need to know is do u guys think he still likes her? i mean its like everytime is ee him he is with her and when i want ot spend time with him she ends up taken him away. and now he doenst even like to get close to me and it seems like he dont love me anymore. and now he is always with her and not me anymore. and to see them together jus makes me wonder if they are back together. wat do you guys think? should i talk to him and see whats going on or should i just leave him to be with her? do you guys have any suggestions and any helpful ideas of what i should do

Dave returned from a doctor's visit one day and told his wife Doreen that the doctor said he only had 24 hours to live. Wiping away her tears, he asked her to make love with him. When I was a child, my uncle used to take me down into his basement, turn out all the lights and he'd ask me to pray to Saint Desdexonus until he appeared. Every time, without fail, the godly hands of Saint Desdexonus would appear, stroking me upon my body and allowing me to do what Scripture says: "And verily, you must allow Him into you without hesitation, for little is the pain in comparison to the great rewards in Heaven."

How does "SCIENCE" explain that I was visited by a heavenly being almost every week for most of my childhood? It was only when my uncle went to prison that the visitations stopped.
