I've heard there was controversy about Nell Carter's role in Gimme a Break! being too mammy-like. I never got that impression when I watched the show.

I am moving into a new house soon and the previous owner had 2 dogs, 5 or so cats, a rabbit and some reptile.

The yard is covered in feces! I plan on raking it up and cleaning it all up but I am worried about any bacteria or diseases that might be present or remaining in the soil after the cleanup. I will be having grandkids over very frequently and I am worried about them playing in the yard.

Would tilling the yard help? Do I need to take any necessary steps to prevent the spread of bacteria, diseases, and other icky stuff?

ok...i'm really having the worst time ever with my face...i have a lot of these weird bumps on my t-zone area...its not acne or pimple...but if you squeeze it out, a white, hard substance comes out of it...my friends say that its white heads...but i don't know what they really are...
well the main point here is that i really want to get rid of them...quick...i usually squeeze them out...but sometimes, it doesn't come out so i end up hurting my skin...i'm getting more and more...and its really really bad...how do i get rid of them?

Al Gore (AKA Father of the Internet and all around sore loser) makes a fictional movie and all you "LEMMINGS" get glassy eyed and cry that the sky is falling! What a joke!
You give man to much credit and NATURE not enough. Man has stood straight for only a fraction of earths history. LOL

My 14 year old daughter has a few phobias-
1. Losing baby teeth (which she still has some)
2. Having her school things touched by people
3. Big, open rooms
4. Black dogs
What do I do? It seems like nothing, but it does get in the way of things quite often.

Please, so many among you seem to be stating things like "The Law prevents us from hurting others"

How does boiling a goat in milk, eating shellfish, wearing multiple fabrics, eating pork, not putting a woman in a tent on her period, and etc, harm another?

To me, it seems you think the law only applies to moral actions, and miss out on the fact it applys to societal and economic ideals as well?

Hi, doing a report on the senario that Alice, in Alice in Wonderland , a 10 year old girl, shrinks to 1/100 of her size and ventures down a rabbit hole into the ground, where she discovers a new fantasy world. Remembering that Alice is a warm-blooded human being, what type of physiological adaptations would be needed to allow her to continually function normally uninterrupted so she can run, romp, and play with all her new friends and activities? Can you name any physiological adaptations and explain them in the anatomical sense, using examples from the major systems of the body? Thanks, need some help with this.

*SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVENT SEEN THE SEASON FINALE*

Who thinks Edie really died? And how long do you think Gabby and Victor will last? It looks like all the problems are coming to an end. Edie's dead, Lynette might die, the whole Orson thing is over, and Susan and Mike are finally together. I think Season 4 will be their last.
