Yes, there are many famous Mormons. I actually saw an interview with him once and he was talking about making a movie about the Mormon Trek to Utah and confronting the whole polygamy issue.

Yes, he confirmed on TV during an interview win asked about what he thinks about Miit Romney running for president. He basically said besides sharing the same faith, he agrees with his political views and supports him.
