One of my co-workers heard on the local news last night that 8 planetary bodies were in alignment last night, the Earth, our moon, the sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. They also said that this alignment is very rare and won't happan again for over 400 years. I normally don't have any problem finding more information on things she or anyone else hears about, but I only find one place online that this event is mentioned, which was on another news stations' website (not local): http://www.wrcbtv.com/news/index.cfm?sid=8455
Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, or maybe it was a hoax, but you'd think that there would have been a bigger deal made of this if it were true. I couldn't even find anything on NASA.gov or Space.com about it, although they mention several times in the last 10 years when 6 bodies were in line, but that's less rare. Would love any information proving or disproving the supposed alignment last night. Thanks!!!

There was a blonde who found herself sitting next to a Lawyer on an airplane. The lawyer just kept bugging the blonde wanting her to play a game of intelligence. Finally, the lawyer offered her 10 to 1 odds, and said every time the blonde could not answer one of his questions, she owed him $5, but every time he could not answer hers, he'd give her $50.00. The lawyer figured he could not lose, and the blonde reluctantly accepted.

The lawyer first asked, "What is the distance between the Earth and the nearest star?"

Without saying a word the blonde handed him $5. then the blonde asked, "What goes up a hill with 3 legs and comes back down the hill with 4 legs?"

Well, the lawyer looked puzzled. He took several hours, looking up everything he could on his laptop and even placing numerous air-to-ground phone calls trying to find the answer. Finally, angry and frustrated, he gave up and paid the blonde $50.00

The blonde put the $50 into her purse without comment, but the lawyer insisted, "What is the answer to your question?"

Without saying a word, the blonde handed him $5.

This will sound bad but it has to be done. My mother has been staying with my children and I since December. She does not contribute (i am single mom) Long story short, besides calling my kids bastards and assholes ETC and me names and on top of that STEALING from me numerous times .. I can no longer take it. I tried to kick her out but since she has been there more than 30 days, she has acquired residency. I need her out of our lives. How do i go about evicting her because she will never leave on her own. I need this done asap.

I watched a movie (think it was a kids movie) a long time ago when i was a kid (probably the early 90's late 80's). It started out with some kid (main character) flying a kite with his father. Next thing I remember the kid was walking past some shops late at night when he sees a poster with a golden apple on it. The golden apple seemed to be real, and the kid grabs it. Then a wizard ghost thing comes down from the sky and tells the kid to grab his beard, he does, and they fly off through the clouds to some distant medieval land. There he finds a villiage and some people living there in terror of a king. This king wears all black and has a claw hand he uses to cut out their hearts. The kid ends up somehow getting a cloak that makes him invisible, and sneaking into the black kings castle and doing the whole hero thing. Can't remember exactly what he does, I'm pretty sure he frees some kids, and destroys the king. Does anyone know the name? I've been looking forever and can't find it.

I will be extremely grateful for all suggestions for gifts suggestion for my mother - I want a get well gift as she is in Hospital having a hip replacement and a birthday gift as it is her birthday on Monday.

Thanks I can't buy her -
1) Flowers - she has said no she doesn't want any in the hospital, as there isn't much room by her bed as it is.
2) Book - No go - she is currently working her way through my Jodi Picoult collection and says she really doesn't need anymore
3) Clothing - spent all day Sat and Sun looking and couldn't find anything I thought she'd like.
4) DVD's - again she just watches mine.

As you can see I am now a little stuck - please help!

I just went in for my first examine and got the Depo Birth-Control Shot. My doctor said after the 7 day mark I would be risk free from getting pregnant. On the 10th day my boyfriend and I got intimate but I was on my period. My period wasn't heavy it was very light but he cummed in me and now im worried. I haven't had any signs of being pregnant and my period became heavier the day after we had sex. How long does it take for Depo to be fully protective of your body so you are risk free just for a second oppion? Should I be worried that im pregnant?

To those who are single parents (mom or dad) I must just say you guys are really truely amazing people. How you guys manage to be both parents is really incredible.

Two of the kids that I teach (preschoolers) are in single parent households & spoke to both mothers individually. The two kids are such gems,strong personalities & truely amazing young minds & kids.

I must say to all parents who are single parents,I truely applaud you. You guys are doing an amazing job with your kids who are really such honey's.

A lot of people seem criticize evolutionary theory, but point right to the big bang as the thing they disagree with.

Don't they know that the Big Bang theory has nothing at all to do with the theory of evolution? The theory of evolution just explains the changes to life on earth over time. It explains why there were homo sapiens on earth a few hundred thousand years ago, but before that there weren't any. It explains why there are horses now, but there were none up to a few hundred thousand years ago. It explains why dinosaurs existed from about 150,000,000 years ago to about 65,000,000, but not before that period.

Understand? I mean -- jeez. The Big Bang is a theory of the origin of the universe, not a theory of biological evolution.
