Considering that Ron Paul is the ONLY politician who has forgoed a considerable amount of personal wealth (He is not part of the congressional pension plan) because he feels that it would be stealing from the people. Nor does he sneak pork projects into unrelated bills, which is a sneaky and underhanded tactic that both democrats and republicans are guilty of. His favorite mantra is "It is awfully easy to be generous with someone else's money." Why is this such a rare sentiment in Washington? Does anyone else despair at the fact that he is the only one who thinks this way?

And he is ostracised by his own party? The Republicans used to stand for fiscal conservatism. Now they are like everyone else: vultures, hungrily eyeing the tax-booty. While there has been some pretty impressive rhetoric concerning "free markets" from both Bush and the rest of the neocons, in reality Bush spends money in ways that democrats could only dream of, and the top-runner Republicans show no sign of restraining themselves. I never imagined in my life that I would have to point to a democrat like Bill Clinton as a model of fiscal conservatism that Republicans ought to emulate.

Security? Oh please, the war-mongerers have hijacked the Republican party. Look at history: Republicans have always been elected to END wars, not start them. Warren Harding (R) was elected to stop Woodrow Wilson's (D) reckless overseas adventurism. Dwight Eisenhower (R) was elected to end the folly of Truman's (D) Korean War. Vietnam was started by Jack Kennedy (D) and the person who won an election on a policy of withdrawl was none other than Richard Nixon (R), beating Lyndon Johnson's (D) "stay the course" program, but it was only under Gerald Ford (R) that the war truly ended. And after years of Clinton's (D) adventurisms, from Bosnia, to Somalia, the people had enough, and elected a man by the name of George W. Bush (R), who specifically coined the term "nation-building" as a derogatory term. The Republicans are (were) the party of peace, and the party of fiscal responsibility, and for the scaling back of the state. Ron Paul is the only person who remembers this.

I would. Everbody should try to save this country. I believe that he has a chance. It is still early. He takes his oath seriously about obeying and protecting the Constitution. He will still be around after the election anyways. Even if he doesn't get elected he will have tons of supporters who carry out his message.

I think we should vote out of the Senate and Congress all the republican and democrat nuts.
It would make a statement and show them, we the people will maintain the power.
Ron Paul and independents, even if they have to be written in, will bring this message home.
I am informed. Vote Paul 08!

Absolutely in a heartbeat. Ron Paul is the most honest politician I've ever seen. Those who don't know him should youtube some of his videos and see what true leadership is.
