Can anybody tell me if there is a way to get rid of odors in a house? I am a first time homebuyer looking for houses. Some houses we looked at this wkend had very strong odors such as cigarette smoke, and pets. The realtor tells us that these odors can be removed but I want to make sure it is true because I have sinus trouble and I definitely do not want to move into a house that will make it worse.

The case has amassed numerous court filings involving 11 churches, two dozen lawyers, 107 individuals, the 90,000-member Diocese of Virginia, the 2.3 million-member Episcopal Church and the 18.5 million-member Anglican Province of Nigeria.
The Episcopal Church and its Virginia Diocese are suing 11 churches, their clergy and lay leaders for leaving the diocese last winter in order to join the Nigerian province. Since the 2003 consecration of the openly homosexual New Hampshire Bishop V. Gene Robinson, conservatives have been fleeing the denomination.

I whole heartedly embrace individuals who want to come to this country - my great grandparents immigrated here and came through ellis island like many others. However, there is a distinct difference between following the rules and breaking the rules - thus the term illegal. I feel as though I, a citizen of this country, have no voice as I disagree w/amnesty. What's wrong with asking people to go home and apply legally and WAIT like everyone who follows the rules (not pay a fine and wait here). If this is the philosophy, then is it okay if I break other rules/laws - is this cafetaria law? If I'm missing something, please explain it to me - I truly want to understand. (and please no answers telling me that I would have to pay more for lettuce - I pay almost $4/gallon for gas - I think I can handle paying more for produce, etc).

Hey took my car to the shop, and is waiting word on what happen. But was wondering if anyone has any ideas? Actually my mother in my car. Alright; that is a releif. But the car was coming to a stop at the red light. But as deaccerating the car wouldn't stop, and kept accerlating. Finally my mom got the car to get into park, still accerlating. Now in the shop. Thats what I am looking for, not looking for a shop manual, but a repair/service/maintenance manual. If anyone knows where I can find one, please let me know. Already tried auto parts stores in my area, ebay, amazon, bookstores in my area, etc. Also tried places like Dan Chuck, which specialize in my car, and all they had is a shop manual, which didnt tell me anything about repair procedures, troubleshooting, etc.

This 4,000 square foot house has geothermal heat pumps that limit electricity use and provide year-long heat and air conditioning. The system only uses 25% of the electricity that traditional heating and cooling systems use. The home also collects water from it's showers, sinks and toilets, runs it through an underground filtration system and stores it in a 25,000 gallon cistern with rainwater collected from the roof. The water cistern is later used to irrigate the landscaping around the property.

The other guy has a 10,000 sq. ft., 20 room mansion where the reported electric bill for the year was $30,000.00. It used nearly 221,000kWh which is more than 20 times the national average.... and this is just one of his 3 homes. This truley is "an inconvenient truth" for this guy.

Again..... no one talking about this.
