bubble baths, eucalyptus scent, music (classical, slow or anything that takes your mind off things), doodling, a quick nap, massages, breath taking scenery (the beach, the mountains -anything that reminds you how small you & problems are by comparision)
cronic headaches can be caused by back and neck problems and sinus infections amongst other things. there are 2 technics i use that i think work great.
1) take 2 fingers apply pressure to both sides on the bridge of your nose. move your fingers up and along the top of your eye brows and down to the temples with out stopping applying pressure- repeat as many times as needed - this feels much better if you can get some one else to do it for you.
2) between your thumb and index finger there is a pressure point. chinese people think your chi gets stuck there. i dont know what chi is but if you press on the muscle with your other thumb and index finger and massage it outward it releaves headaches. for this technic you should press hard enough so it hurts a little. after massaging it for a few minutes it stops hurting and your headache should be gone

Find a way to laugh. Studies show that finding humor in a situation changes your perspective on things, and once you’ve changed perspectives you’re more likely to find an effective way of coping.
Improved sleep is a good stress fix. You need 6 hours of sleep to restore your body’s energy. Your body clock runs best when you run on the same schedule every day.
Another effective way to reduce anxiety and manage your stress levels is to remove yourself from a stressful situation immediately – even if it’s only temporarily. Go to the bathroom, walk around the block, get a drink of water. Breathe, and then you’ll be able to think of alternatives to stressing.
