We have this project to do in school, and i have absolutley NO experience in this. We have to raise a 1 kg weight off the ground three and 1/2 feet with a 1/2 kg weight and have it move over and land on our desk. The catch: we cannot use springs, magnets, batteries, etc., and they only time we can touch the machine is when we place the 1/2 kg weight on our "simple machine" I thought a pulley system might work, but i have no idea how to make one. PLEASE HELP ME OUT

if i go somewhere and i order something and it was made correctly and i dont like it, i dont eat it, but i dont expect to get my money back, thats why you read the menu and ask questions before you order soemthing, and if you are in a fancier place, and you don't know what stuff is, then go eat someplace cheaper, i dont know how many times ive brought out the right thing to a table and people didn't know what they were ordering so they specifically ask for it to be free, why should others have to pay for your ignorance?

I have seen so many on here that are from different religions and backgrounds that it has really opened my eyes to how people have faith in their own religion.

I am not trying to be ugly or rude, I really wonder if people see how other people feel

My friend went through a divorce a while back and his wife and kids brought home a dog that he never wanted. They promised they would take care of the dog. Now he and his daughter are the only ones at the house. The daughter spends the night out with friends, works full time, and goes to school full time. The dad works and is rarely home. He loves his daughter very much, but he's tired of being the one taking care of a dog he never wanted. The dog has ruined the carpets in every single room with poop and piss. When he tells his daughter the dog has to go, she gets VERY upset. He has given her many alternatives and warnings on what to do with the dog, to no avail. Has anyone else gone through this? What would you do? She has just graduated from high school.

Yesterday I saw in an aquarium at the school where I work a roughly fist-sized black creature covered in 3"- to 4"-long spikes, with a few red markings on the body. It was a salt water tank. Can anybody tell me what it is?

So I like this guy at my school he is 2 grades ahead of me and i am totally obsessed with him. I have 1 million pictures of him and stare at him 24/7. He is graduating June 1st. Is it POSSIBLE?
For a married man to be your soulmate..and when the time is right..he will come to you? see, b4 he got married we were friends..and we lost touch and in the mean time he got married. Then we saw eachother and talked about what was going on. But the weird thing is..before we saw eachother again after almost a yr I kept thinking about him and dreaming about him for like a month really HARD..then one day it was SOOO strong..i had thought about him so hard..and i told my friend..i just want to see him and see how he is doing..i just want to hug him and talk to him..well that was on a Sunday..then taht night i dreamed about him. WELL, The NEXT MORNING..We ran into eachother!!!!!!!! that is soo creepy! after a yr of not seeing him and talking to him..to thinking about him really hard and then seeing him the next day..what could that mean? I dont want to wreck his marriage..thats not what its about..I just want to know if we are meant to be soulmates..what do you think? I DO NOT want to pursue him while he is MARRIED! I just want to know if me and him were meant to be...

We have an argument going on if the human body can ingest large amounts of food and can it kill you if introduced in extreme amounts. One person thinks that you can eat most anything in any amount and no harm will come but obesity. Where the other thinks that you can overdose on anything if the limit is met for the individuals body.... WHO IS RIGHT

I know this sounds like a weird question, but someone said that a woman has the right to kill a human being because it happens to be in HER body, and since it is HER body, she should have the right to decide the fate of the human being that is inside her.

It made me wonder if taking away a woman's right to do whatever she wants as long as it concerns HER body is a slippery slope that can end with a woman having no rights to her own body, such as a man just being able to sexually assult her as he feels fit??

I had a baby 5 weeks ago (c-section) and i noticed my stomach being tender today and then just a sec ago a penny sized (?) wad of tissue like stuff came out of my vagina. Should I go to the ER? I wouldn't normally sit around to ask but my hubby has the car. It looks like a darkened peice of meat (like chicken) and It has a stringy type thing attached to it. This is gross I know but I'm freaked out!!!

I read somewhere that you should tip your hairdresser, esthetician, massage therapist, etc. if they are renting out a space in a salon or office, but if the owner of the salon is performing the service, you do not need to tip. Is this correct? What is proper etiquette in this situation?

My cousin's mom, who is a Wicka or something, idk, told me about it. She kinda weirded me out, but she gave it to me on a sheet of notebook paper, and it says to chant it over and over.

I was talking to my cousin Chris about how bad everything has been i.e. breaking my leg, failing my test, being really sick *snuffle*, and all that stuff, and she must have overheard or something.

She was sort of weird, but she was really cool.
I was staying over at their house, and she was really nice and let us watch TV all night.

Is this a safe chant, or is it, like, bad or something. Is she trying to be mean? (I know I sound horrible accusing her, but hey, what do I really know?)
