yes it can kill you if you eat too much. Too much of pretty much anything will kill you. and if you get obese, you can definitely die from that too. People have died from drinking too much water before too. It dilutes the amount of electrolytes in your blood, so that you do not have enough. You can also die from too much salt, which is mostly the cause of dehydration. That is why people drink Gatorade, because it is a source of electrolytes and water. Too much of anything will kill you. You've got to listen to what your body is telling you. If you start feeling like your too full, or sick, there is probably a reason for it. it is pretty much the same for any sort of poison as well. did you know that there are regulations on up to how much lead can be in your food, and how many spider remnants in a sack of flour. Most things wont hurt you in small quantities, but can do damage in large quantities.

Obesity can be fatal in so many different ways. Immediate death from gluttony -- probably not because your body would probably end up rejecting it and you wouldn't keep it down (think the "wafer thin mint" routine from Monte Python, to be extremely graphic). Technically, even a minute amount of food can kill you if you have severe food allergies.
A dog can actually "eat himself to death" if he gorged on dry food and then consumed a large amount of water.

A medical professional could give you the exact right answer. However, think about how much the human body can hold without getting sick. When you eat in excess usually people feel sick and may vomit. I think that would happen long before the food could actually kill anyone.

It would take quite the massive amount of food to kill you directly, but yes, your stomach lining or intestinal walls can rupture, causing you to have internal bleeding.. and internal lunch. Quite the messy and dangerous situation.
You could also die over time from eating too much continually, such as getting obese or developing a heart condition.

Probably not directly but as a result of being obese yes. Being over weight puts strain on your heart... on top of that you have the increased risk of heart attacks, stroke, diabetes, etc.... This coming from a person who is overweight and should do something about it.
Eatting too much isn't good for you, but neither is eatting to little. That's why they say "healthy weight"...

Tycho Brahe died at a dinner (or, rather, started to die) because it was considered extremely rude to excuse onself from the table, at that time.
Then there is the trouble with anti-metabolites, which can cause you to fill with undigested food and die. British pig farmers had some trouble with this some years ago, and is the reason we cook most of our food.
So, yes. It CAN kill you.

in my opinion eatting a lot and a lot of food can not kill you. as you take in food it must come out. maybe not as fast but also vomiting will soon be a factor if you try to eat to your limits. so i think the only way food can kill you is if it is not prepared properly or if it has been tampered with

I am assuming you are asking about sudden, immediated death. I'm sure it can. I recall channel surfing and my eye caught one of those gluttony contest. I think it was how many weiners could be eaten in a certain amount of time. They announced the winner, he held up his arms in triumph then took two steps and passed out. He had to be rushed to the hospital. I think he survived but it seems to reason if he had to be rushed to the hospital he could have died.

Too much food can kill you. Your body at some point cant digest the food as fast as you can eat it, therefore, your system would become overloaded and toxins could infest your bloodstream and kill you.

Eat whatever the recommended allowance per serving size. What I am saying is eat whatever equals one portion size of a serving size and make sure you don't overeat or over drink anything for any meal.
