UPgrade vid card and ramm. Turn off unneeded stuff. If youre at a know safe site turn off av or use a light one, leave firewall or use a light one like comodo. Use NIC, not wireless, turn off unneeded things in startup and processes. 3d is a tradeoff between looks and performance. You'll get higher fps if you lower 3d and AA.

You computer does not meet the requirements for the running the game at miniumal levels. The only thing that I can recommend is for you to upgrade your system.
If you are a computer gamer than invest in a system that is built for gamers, otherwise you will run into the problems you are having now. You can upgrade your current system, but what you will spend in RAM and a decent PCI video card puts you half way to buying a new system.
Also I recommend that you look at newegg, tigerdirect, and pricewatch. You should be able to find a decent system with just the minimal needs for your games for under $500. Some are even lower if you build it yourself. If you chose to build it yourself I recommend the A+ Certification Book to help you do it.
You can try turning off the different programs, but I am sure that you did that before you came here to ask us. When getting a new system remember that if you go back to Dell that their systems are properitory and outside components will not always work.

First try upgrading the RAM. RAM is the cheapest and most effective computer upgrade. If the problem still persists maybe upgrading your graphics card would help. If you have onboard Graphics it will share memory with the system more than likely. Getting a seperate Graphics card will greatly increase the performane of Graphics related programs. Try to get one with as much video ram as you can afford. Check eBay. I get a lot of computer stuff off there cheap and new. I hope this helps Good Luck

try to check the system requirements for call of duty. maybe it's the ram or the video card that needs to be upgraded. try also disabling norton when you play it sometimes block executable files that causes slow response of your pc.

QUICK FIX to solve your problem. Turn of Norton when playing the game. Norton is a computer hog. You can also disconnect from Internet to keep safe and the minute you turn Norton back on...it will scan and clean.
Hope this helps!

well...many things can slow down the computer...maybe it's your proccesser, or it could be the RAM type. I would need more info to better answer your question so you can e-mail me (jerm1027@yahoo.com obviously) & I can give you a better answer. You may even have to get a new computer (not really NEW! but a better one)
so the most common way to increase speed is to run disk checks, defragment, clean it, and upgrade RAM (1 GB DDR2 is best)

i might purchase a sparkling laptop as a results of fact it looks such as you may opt to enhance the CPU, the motherboard(if the present one does not have PCIE) the snap shots card, and the ability grant as a fashion to take the enhancements. in case you elect that many enhancements this is not particularly surely worth the difficulty of upgrading.
