My dad and i dont have a good relationship at all. I havent seen him in almost 18 months and even when we were in contact it wasnt that great. It was my birthday a few months back and he called to say happy birthday and that he was sending me money. The money never arrived and the fact that i didnt get anything upset me because he said he was sending something and i felt that he lied to me. Even a card would have been nice. Now he is calling me saying that he wants to see me so he can give me my birthday present which is a lap top computer for school. But i dont know whether or not to accept his present because he always argues that i dont want to see him unless he has something for me. So if i see him it will prove his point but it was a present that he promised me earlier and i do need a lap top for school really bad. But my gut instinct is telling me not to see him.

For a long time I have believed that the Bible was made by men so it had to not be totally true.

Then recently I became a believer and started reading the Bible, Maybe about a year ago.

But now I am starting to wonder. I do not doubt that the real Bible was true but now it has been translated over hundreds of years, words today can not possibly mean what they meant then, there must be words in the real Bible that they could not find the exact meaning for in English, I have heard that books have been erased. How can we possibly be sure that we are doing the right thing by having faith in these people that they rewrote the Bible correctly? What if our having faith that this Bible is true leads us into damnation?

The only witnesses were friends of these people, who went to "run an errand" instead of accompnaying my child back home to make sure he was okay (he's five). They did call the police, however, while I was busy rushing my son to ER, and made sure to tell them a completely skewed version of the events (the police actually told me I was lucky they decided not to press charges for vandalism--this while the doctor is pulling loose teeth out of my son's mouth).
Ordinarily I would say, oh, well, accidents happen--but it really, really bothers me that they just didn't care that they had hurt a small child; didn't bother to tell me what happened, just took off to the liquor store like it was nothing. This is not okay, and I feel that the least they can do is pay for this fun little visit to ER, which is going to run into several hundred, even with insurance.

so what do you think of the name Rocco James for a boy..my husband is a huge sports fan and has visions of a little baseball star named Rocco..also he manges rock bands and wants a stand out name..in case his little one wants to be a front man of a band someday LOL..the name is growing on me..but NONE of our friends like it much

There are those who are enthusiastic about the bill and those who have their doubts. There are some who are reserving judgment. The bill takes steps to close the border but offers a path to citizenship for those now in the country illegally. Because of the penalties associated with it you can't really call it amnesty.

Should there be amnesty? Is this a good bill? Is it a good step toward resolving our porous border situation in the U.S., and could European countries use a similar approach to resolve their own immigration problems?

My mom was hospitalized for phemonia, and had to be put on the ventalator. I almost lost her, so much to the point that I was asked a couple of times how long I was going to continue her treatment. In order to keep her from pulling out the tubes they gave her Versed Inj/ MIDAZOLAM. They told me she would not remember the trauma, but never that she would a side effect of short term memory loss perminatly.

I have looked up types of cats before but I can never find one just like him. My parents got him for me at a feedstore and they dont know either. He is pure white with green eyes and he has long fur. Its not long long but its not short. Here is a picture of him:
