There are many differences.
1. Brain is the hardware, mind is the software
2. Brain has cells, while mind has none
3. Damage to the brain can be repaired by physical means while mind can only be repaired by emotional means
4. Brain send millions of signals throughout the body for day-to-day functioning of our physical body while mind sends only emotions or egos
Many many differences can be deduced. As you start to think too deeply into the differences, you tend to become more psychological.

Brain is master of all the organs in the body and mind is the media of information to brain.
You know "vivek, man & budhi" (concience, mind & wit) are the informational & executional media, by means of these, brain gets information from various orgens & further communicates its' orders for execution.
Concience and mind always act parelal and wit, before or after execution of act inconfirmity with mind's directions and before its' execution in confirmity with vivek's directions, advocates thier acts on the merit of anticipated result of the act. Mind mostly attracts negativity, however vivek with help of budhi interfere to divert mind towards possitivity but mostly fails because budhi generally favours its' discisions. This is the reason that most of us, though progressing & developing day by day yet leading the humanity towards destruction. Vivek can be effectively utilised by brain once the moralaty (naitikata), which declining its' existence in human beings, is kept intact in all of us

Mind is a part of mental body - it does a big part of the thinking, Brain is a part of material body - it provides connection between bodies... You can imagine it as a scheme:
Mental Body - Mind :: Brain - Material Body
That's why when the Brain dies - our material body looses the connection between mental, astral and other ones so we stop our existence ONLY in this world... Our material body is simply left behind then!

Animals have a brain. Human beings have a brain and a mind. Do u know what distinguishes us from the animals? We actually have a spirit inside us that is part of us and when we die it goes back to God. Animals don't have a spirit. They don't have the ability to think and reason like we do. When they die, that's it, they die, end of story. Not so with us. We will come back again, when God resurrects us and makes us part of His family.
