He looks a lot like a "pet quality" persian. It's not uncommon, especially when someone isn't breeding responsibly, to get persians without the smushed face, they're called pet quality, as they don't follow the breed guidelines, so therefore shouldn't be bred, but there's nothing wrong with them.
They look like a persian, but without the smushed face.
Whatever he is, he's beautiful.

Most likely, no specific breed. That would be considered a Domestic Medium Hair (DMH) at the vet clinic.
May have Turkish Angora somewhere in his bloodline. Picture:

We have a female that looks quite similar, at our local rescue, and my parents have a male that looks exactly like him.

He is such a beautiful cat ;-)
I would say that he is just a plain domestic medium to long hair cat. In the picture it looks as if some of the hair is "orangish"(is that correct?). If so, he could be a tabby with unusual coloring.
He is adorable ;-)
GOOD LUCK with him

I agree the vet will say its just a domestic which means they find no specific breed. i'm sure dna/blood tests would show several breeds but no one would know just by looking.
