Why is it that people who claim that they have been witches all their lives or whatever equate the religion with the practice of magic or witchcraft?? THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING!!!! The religion is about gods and goddesses and a set practice and dogma. It's a religion for cryin outloud! Witchcraft is feeling the world around you. It's being one with it. It's listening, it's understanding. It's magic, but only in the sense that magic happens naturally within the world around us every day whether we notice it or not and will continue to do so long after we have turned to dust in the wind.

Also, why do people associate Wicca (which is a modern religion) with the practices of the ancients?? They are NOT THE SAME! Granted, Wicca gets most of it's traditions from celtic beliefs, but the celts were not the only people on the earth that followed a path other than christianity and such.

There are alot of people bashing Prince Harry on the American Yahoo about not serving in Iraq and I wanted someones point of view who lives there.
I see it like this. Prince Harry has been second best at everything to William. He isn't the first born, he isn't as attractive, he is not as academically gifted. He has been known as the ginger 'spare heir 'all of his life.
I think he is completely committed to your Country and is a patriot and would serve in Iraq if given the choice. It is not his choice so he has no say in it so now he has to suffer the backlash once again. This is a guy who asks for no special treatment in any way, he wants to be his own man, make his sacrifices to a country he loves and do the best he can. Do Brits think he is spoiled and treated like royalty in the military? I personally think he has a lot of character and a lot of class and would put his life down for the UK if it came down to it . Any thoughts ?

and I really do not fancy that at all as i would like my labour / birth to be as natural as possible. Is it really nessacary to do a sweep when i'll only be one day away from 40 weeks? what are the consequences of having one? Can it slow labour/create problems/ make it more likely to require pain relief like being induced can? I was hoping for a natural waterbirth and know that being induced can cause other problems in the labour, was wondering if a membrane sweep does too. this is my first

and I'm trying to lose weight. However, I must look a great deal fatter to other people than I appear to myself when I look in the mirror.

I get upset when people say to me you really need to do something about your weight as the person I see in the mirror is not overly weight.

5ft 2.1/2ins tall 12st 5 lbs weight.

Am I kidding myself that I do not look fat when in fact I am?

For someone who used to be like a stick insect when she was younger I'm finding it hard to come to terms with this weight problem.

I'm off for a 2 mile walk on the treadmill...cannot run well not yet.
