The first reason I didn't go to my prom was because the dinner for the couple costs $500. Of course, this is without prom dress, hair, nails, manicure, pedicure, shoes, bag, and professional photos at the prom as well as the after-prom outfit and costs for the after-prom activity. All of these costs together could easily reach $2000. Secondly if I could afford such costs, I still don't think I would have enjoyed it because the whole night seems fake, especially with people trying to find dates at the last minute, friendships being ruined over who's in which limo etc...

Who else is tired of people claiming that a black avatar is really a white person trying to stir up trouble or that a white avatar is really a black person trying to stir up trouble? I know that people do indeed do this, but it's rather annoying that so many people refuse to accept that racism is a problem on both "sides". People should accept the fact that there are both whites AND blacks on Yahoo answers who are spewing racist nonsense.

I have a bet with mom i say more people pee in the shower than don't. She thinks its disgusting and has never done it in HER LIFE. I find this hard to believe that no one else pees in the shower. Leave a yes or no answer and explain why or why not! thankssssss

i always see people post that part of the reason to join the military is to defend your country. is it a bad thing that i am not at all grateful for anyone in the military?
iraq has nothing to do with me or the u.s. and dont try to pull the 9/11 thing since iraq has nothing to do with that either.
also, 9/11 was a tragedy, but our government did a good job of building up foreign aggression and hostility towards the u.s.
our government even funded and armed most of our current enemies. this doesnt sound like im being defended at all.

My car is in the shop getting something major fixed, the repairman says that I need new brakes on the front and that he cannot "by law" allow me to take my car back without it being fixed. I plan on fixing it myself (or rather a friend of mine is going to fix it) as soon as I get the car home. I have tried to find a law pertaining to this and can't seem to find anything useful, please help... I'd like my car back.

Ok, so I'm a 25 year old male, 250 pounds, don't exercise much, and you can imagine my diet. Father, also overweight (BMI < 35) has diabetes. Everyone is telling me that I'm at "very high risk" of getting diabetes *soon*, although I routinely check my blood sugar with dad's home testing kit and my results are normal: fasting glucose is usually 80-92 mmol/dl and nonfasting glucose is: 87-98 mmol/dl. So, I do not have diabetes; yet, I understand that over a course of years and years I may develop progressively higher blood sugar, I'm assuming that for the time being I am not going to, as in next week or next year?

I just got 2 turtles they are about 2 in. in legnth and I think their snapping turtles because sometimes they snap at me and each other. Heres what I need help with. I don't know how to take care of them (I just have a tank a rock in the tank and a lot of turtle food.) So what do I do when they get bigger, if I can put their tank outside in the daytime, E. I am owed around $15.000 I live in greene county ohio.I ve been to court with the state and with my attorney and they still refuse to lock him up or make him pay he has failed two drug test and I feel if someone would just get off their *** in the court system I might not have to struggle as a single mother.
