My sister-in-law has GH and she has 3 kids with 1 on the way. While she had outbreaks while she was preg. with all of her kids, she was not in an outbreak during labour and had vaginal deliveries. The kids have not suffered due to her GH. They are all healthy and beautiful girls. Now if you have an outbreak during labour, just expect to have a c-section. It is very dangerous to have a VB with an outbreak. Your Ob. can elaborate better than I can. Good Luck

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?
But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

My mother got it while being pregnant which is then a high risk pregnancy because it could be passed on to the baby. She had it naturally and the baby came out perfectly fine. The dr normally monitor you when are about to give birth to look for any outbreaks that are visble if they are visble at the time of delivery then they will perform a C-section to avoid passing it on to the baby. If you get herpes before you get pregnant its a lot better then if you get it while you are pregnant. My brother is now 8yrs old and is a healthy kid.

There can be complications if the mother has an initial outbreak. Then the Dr. will preform a c-section. There are usually no complications if the mother has had the infection for a long time. The baby will develop the antibodies also..

"Usually" a C-section is performed if the mother has genital herpes. The babies will be fine.
