I am a widow. I went to a new doctor today and on the form the question for marital status had only two choices: Single or Married. I left it blank. The girl at the desk called me up and pointed it out. I said I am a widow, then she said "that makes you single" and checked the box on the form.

Is this true, did I become single when my husband died? If anything, I feel more married than single.

My cat, "baby" has been licking herself until she licks off the fur completely and the area becomes red and raw. She started doing this in her lower abdomen, between her legs...then stopped and moved on to the inside of one arm then stopped and moved on to the nearly symmetrical side of the other arm...she licks the areas constantly and is clearly bothered by them bc when you tell her to stop or call her name she contineus to do it. I have seen no signs of eggs or anything. At first i thought it was her litter bc it was only the bottom part of her body which would touch litter...but that didn't change anything. I went from clay to pine. I have been feeding her purina dry food and her mom - my other cat- they have the same diet and "mom" has no problems. What could this be? Can I try anything at home first BEFORE bringing her to a vet?
She seems happy and healthy otherwise and is eating/drinking/going to the bathroom like normal and is in a good mood!

They say i look like a girl, but i'm a boy. everyone is saying that i am more beautiful than most of the girls. What can i do to make myself to look more masculine or more manly. i have a iranian friend and he translated some of the things the ahmadinjad said and the isreal bit was a quote from a speech by ayatulla homeni . and he said if the palestinians and jews want to live in peace then you should get rid of the state of isreal and have a new democratic country where the jews and the palestinians shared power which sounds like a pretty good idea its better than them killing each other all the time . so he didnt refer to killing any jews just a clever idea on how they can live in peace.

I'm 21 and in university. I'm a pretty eccentric dresser, opinionated, smart, outspoken, flirtatious, with a pretty bad potty mouth. However, I am pretty conservative when it comes to what I want from relationships. I don't like going out, like to be along much of the time, and value honesty, integrity, and work ethic. I want a guy who doesn't have many friends himself, hasn't slept around a lot, is strongly family oriented, has strong values, and is respectful of women (these are the sort of qualities my dad has). At the same time I don't want anyone close-minded, conservative, religious, or anyone who wouldn't support my decision to dye my hair purple. Most of the guys I know are drunken party animals, and not my type. Do I give off the wrong impression or scare guys away that I may like?

because i honestly think that it's the most ignorant idea anyone has ever come up with... to say that we came from the same thing. that would mean like, a banana is my great (great great x100) uncle... oh and that elephant! he's my grandpa!

i do understand microevolution. yes, if two cats have sex their kittens aren't going to look the same. and i can even see cats tigers lions... all that stuff, coming from a common ancestor. but has anyone seen a monkey pop out a human? because if it came from mutations, the monkeys would still be mutating, therefore still producing humans, no ?
