There's a museum that has bodies that have been cut open and displayed as art. You could donate your body to that cause and be immortalized as a cut up figurine.
Ex: One shows a man riding a horse, and both the man and the horse have been skinned, so you can just see the muscles and veins. Both scientific and artistic.

Well there's the old-fashion funeral pyre, similar to cremation except more like Darth Vader's funeral in Jedi.
There's burial at sea, usually reserved for sailors who die at sea, especially if their ship is not likely to dock anytime soon.
I read an article about some guy who had himself buried inside of his favourite Corvette.
In some of the more traditional societies still in existence throughout the world (like in Papua New Guinea and some of the Pacific Islands) there are some very interesting burial practices but I don't know much about them.

Cryogenics is the most "common" of the uncommons. You can have your whole body frozen or just your brain (with the hope of someday being able to revitalize yourself).
There are also places that do a sort of mummification process. Some place in California I think.

I think my favorite is a good old fashioned pine box. In today's normal society people who are buried are embalmed, sealed in a casket that is sealed in concrete that is sealed in an underground vault that is 6 feet underground. I don't like this. It poisons the earth. Honestly, all those embalming chemicals and concrete, glues, sealants, none of it is good for the earth. There are places where you can be put in a pine box, not embalmed, not sealed. The box is merely nailed shut with biodegradable metal. It is all very good for nature and the environment. Makes more sense to me.

1. Standing on your head?!!!
2. In full drag.
3. Painted in your favorite color.
4. Dipped in chocolate!
5. In your favorite car.
6. Have your pet killed so that he may be buried with you (yuck I've heard of people actually doing this).
7. Scatter my ashes over the "Reverend Fred Phelps" (I'm gay w/HIV).
8. Place my body on a little sail boat in the ocean (my luck, it would drift to some crowded beach in about 1 week just as my body is really stinky).
9. Shoot it off into space.

Any dumpster's my venue of choice, but given legalities maybe the backyard or overboard in shark-infested waters.
Whatever, it's gotta be the cheapest environmentally friendly way possible.

you could be shot up into the sky with a big fireworks rocket, the ashes that is.
You could be frozen in a lab.
You could be stuffed like a deer on the wall if it's legal.

When you die, there is no need to worry how those left behind bury your body. Just let them do what is best.
