I'm fifteen, 5'1", and weigh about 88 pounds. For health reasons, I'm supposed to gain weight, but doing so is difficult because I don't want to get "big," if you know what I mean. Today, my mom's making pancakes in a few hours, so she told me to have a light breakfast. I wasn't hungry but knew that I should probably eat something. She wouldn't let me drink just a glass of milk because she wants me to gain some pounds, so I ate a banana. The banana was black on the peel in some places and it felt pretty soft. Later, though, I felt bad because I could've eaten a rice cake for only 50 cals instead of the 100 and something cals in the banana. I didn't even drink milk with the banana because I felt guilty. But, again, I could have eaten the rice cake without any milk and have had less cals. I don't know if what I did was right or wrong...I'm thinking the banana had more nutrients, but don't really know since it might have been overripe.
