i dont like hip hop either, but never fear! I find that rock and other genres are coming back in. soon everyone will like totally different stuff, such as harder stuff that you can understand the words to and dsing along with and isn't about **x and drugs and murdering people over them. i wouldnt mind if these things dissapeared forever, as i have been waiting to say "oh. well would you look at that. Looks like i was the only cool one ALL ALONG!" lol!! dont worry. it'll be okay. Music isn't the only reason for a person to like or dislike another person. fall out boy and panic are great! and also Boys Like Girls...individual is good :)

Don't worry. There are a lot of people who pretend they like something just to feel like part of the group. You could probably find some of these people, but kudos for not becoming one, because it's good to show you're own personal tastes. At my school, people in drama and music aren't as into hip-hop as the rest of the school, so maybe you should try to get to know some of those people if you're fed up with everyone liking that style. It's stupid that people don't like you because of your music tastes, so just be yourself and don't let anything people say get to you - listen to what you want!

I'm sure they like other musical genres too. Although, lets say, Eminem is cool, so is Fall Out Boy. Ask them and see if they like the other trendy bands such as Fall Out Boy and/or Panic! At The Disco.

Try to find other things beside music that you might have in common with other students.
