Ashley furniture is just middle of the road quality furniture. About 10 years ago I worked for a furniture company called "Value City Furniture". They carried alot of Ashley brand furniture...Bedroom sets, dining room sets, sofas, living room casual tables, etc. We saw alot of repairs on that brand furniture. You know the old saying..."You get what you pay for."

I think you should do a little research before making your decision and purchase. First and foremost, talk to each store about what types of warranties they offer and/or what they will do if any defects occur with the product. Then you may want to go online and see if you can find any reviews or ratings on each type of furniture. I know that you should be able to find some on the Ashley furniture but I'm not so sure about Target. Most people think that the more expensive the better, but being an interior designer I can tell you that that is not always the case. I really wish that you could try out the couch from Target, but if you can't then see if you can at least feel a sample of the material the loveseat is made of. This will at least give you an idea of how it will feel against your skin. Also, check to see if the store could possibly somehow get and set up a display model of the loveseat that you would like to purchase. I'm not sure where you're from but my city has a couple of Target stores. If your city does, then you may want to check to see if another store has a display model of the item. I have to agree with the majority when they say that it's better to try something like a loveseat out before purchasing it. Last but not least, check out the materials that each loveseat is made of. I'm sure you know the good material names vs the bad ones. Don't expect the cheaper furniture to lack though; most of the time the expensive stuff lacks more because you're paying for the name, not the quality. Good luck on your future purchase!!!

It would be real Ashley furniture all right.
I've bought things from Big Lots before, and have never been disappointed in the quality. But you might want to shop around: A couple of times I've seen items in Big Lots that are also available in regular stores for the same price.

I don't think they could lie about it.
I have an Ashley sofa, its ok.
I also got it at an overstock/seconds place.
Ashley must get rid of alot of there stuff that way.

If they say it is Ashley, it should be. They probably are an authorized outlet for overstock items from Ashley and others.
