If you were to pass away unexpectedly? This truly is a question we should all ask ourselves and make arrangements for.

It may sound silly, but I have it stated in my will who will be responsible for my pets if I should die. I did this because my dog's breed (great pyrenees) is not the kind of dog for everyone. I have friends who live a few hours away who have one, and they are willing to take him.

This is a very important question, and I'm glad that you asked it...we currently have two dogs at my local human society who are there because their owners passed away. They are wonderful dogs who will find a home soon, and they weren't discarded...they just happened to have old owners who passed away with no family. Would any of us want our loving pets to go to a shelter because we neglected to think of what might happen to them if we were to die?

I am part of a military family and I have no immediate family close by so that is out of the question. I'm very lucky because our neighbor has a whole bunch of animals and she said she would take our animals in if something ever happen. Luckily I trust her and I know she would treat my dogs and cats well.

My mother, father, or brother. But if something were to happen, and they couldnt keep them, Im sure my cousin Chris, who is a year older than me, &has a blue dobie, and would take him for me. I would do the same for him, we both love dobies, were the only 2 kids in the fam who still has dobies. I would trust him 111000000%. Hes a pro wrestler(#1 in state, #2 national) and I know he would protect him. Were both really close, and we have already had this converstaion since we were little, we would always watch over each other, and our dobies. (well... he actually watches over me becuase hes huge, and he can defend himself, but I do come in emotionally becuase hes a big baby =].) Im so close to him I would leave him my house, if my brother already had one.

This is a very good question but very few people think of it. And an especially important one when you have pets who live long lives, like some parrots, snakes, turtles, and are also much harder to place than cats and dogs.

I have some ppl that would take my pets, i know they would have a good home but there is just one of my pets i would worry about. My male standard poodle he doesnt take to ppl easily , he is a mommas boy and doesnt want to leave my side, if i leave his site he comes looking for me while my other pets are just happy running and playing.

Members of my family would all step in and either take care of my pets (I know the dog would go to my parents... the bunny, probably to my sis and her family) or they would find good homes for them (like my for my cats). We are a close-knit family and we all have our pets... the pets would not suffer.

Our pets would most likely be given to family members/ put up for adoption if we had no specific plans mentioned in, lets say, a will.
