Hi, I was given an unknown compound in lab and given the IR spectra of the unknown solution. From looking at the spectra, I know it is an either a ketone or aldehyde with some aromatic ring OR center of unsaturation.

The thing that confuses me is that there isn't a C-H stretch around 2800-3000. Is this first possible?

What does that moderate peak around 3000-3200 represent and what are the other various peaks below 1600 indicate?

I am doing a Renaissance project for my class. My subject is Caravaggio, Michelangelo Merisi da-the famous italian painter. I have to do a 3D exhibit that is like a museum about him. The size of the project is about 24x12x12-a typical box. We are not allowed to use pictures off the internet-any suggestions for a different way to get the pictures? Also, any suggestions for other things to use to signify his life or his work? Please keep in mind that buying a lot of materials is not good.

My husband and I got in a huge fight last night, and I still cannot sleep. I thought I would come on-line adn do some question and answers and saw his cell phone right in front of me... My 7 mons daughter and i living wit my husband's famil. It's not the reason we want to save money or anything but my husband wants a big family wit them. His parents fighting a lot, fighting about money, cooking almost about everything. I've had enough and now I'm bursted, i can't hide my feelings anymore. I feel so bad when they asked me to bring my daughter to them " bring her here" his parents said. His younger sis walks to my room my bring my daughter out of my sight, even her bf does this. I told my husband how unhappy i am but he is trying to treat me nice so i'll wouldnt ask him to move out. I really have no privacy, my husband is still being controlled by his family. I understand he loves his family, i love my family 2, i left my family whe we married. My family is in north, ca and his is in south, ca. Even 5 mins away his family is too far to him, only under a same roof would be near to him. He helped them a lot already, car, house, bill...thank you

I recently bought a C-Media 8768 PCI Card

BUT I can't seem to install it, Windows Simply recognizes it as a "PCI DEVICE" How do i make it be recognized as an Multimedia Audio thing? OR MAKE IT WORK EVEN????

I have the Drivers but it always says "Inset the C-Media Device??? But it is already installed, just not recognized properly......

about a month ago i took my daughter to the dentist, she had a tooth ache, she is only 3, the dentist said she had rare tooth decay in the back probably related to an acid reflux disorder. he said the surgery to fix it is very expensive, and he wont do anything until i have the money which i have been saving but not nearly close yet. i dont have any dental coverage. now she is in alot of pain, it keeps her up at night and it is breaking my heart, im wondering if i took her to the er if they could do anything. please, i need some ideas.

i really loved this name when i first heard it. i just knew if i ever had a boy his name would be aiden BUT it has become so over used. it was by far the number one boy name of 06. every mom i see is naming her boy aiden. when the poor aidens go to school they will fill up the whole classrooms. my question is why would you name you kid something so common

In light of the Virginia Tech event and many of the horrific events that have happened in the past, why is the perpetrator most commonly a man? As a woman, I wonder if there are deeper issues that men deal with that women can't even imagine or what? I KNOW that all men are not prone to such violent acts, but it just seems so uncanny how so many men seem to go over the edge and snap in such violent ways. Any insights?
