You can, but it is not a good idea. With someone who has HR background, you should not have quit, the one who was harrassing you should have been fired. If I was you, I would have consulted an attorney. You have grounds to sue the company.

That depends on a bunch of factors. Are the people who harassed you still there? Why didn't you let HR sort it out at the time? Did you give notice when you quit? These are things which may not be your fault, but there is a lot of bureaucracy in the work place. The simple answer is, you might as well try - the worst that can happen is they say no. However, when you leave a job, the employer may not be so likely to welcome you back and as long as you are aware of that, go for it!

I would ask you: WHY would you want this job back? If the
co-workers harrassed you and you had to get HR involved,
I don't think anything will change. I would look for another job, I am sure you can find one.

It doesn't hurt to ask, but you gotta understand that you can't run away again. If HR got involved then they need to ensure that it does not happen again. If it does then the harrassers need to be addressed accordingly. I don't think your job will like it if you come back, get harrassed, then leave again. If you really want this job, speak with your HR first, let them know your intent, then try to get the job back. Do what you gotta do at work, get that paycheck, go home, kick back, relax and sip on a martini. Shaken not stirred. lol....Good Luck

No, this is water over the dam. If you had problems with harrassment, you should have brought it to the attention of your supervisor. You don't want to go back if the same co-workers are still there.

I'd say it depends on whether the harassing parties are still working there or not. If they're still there, I wouldn't want to go back yet.

It may be okay, but why do you want to, once again, put yourself in a position to be harassed by co-workers. Do you want to be harassed . . . again?
Find another job.
