In when figuring the volume of a rectangular prism with the dimesions of 20mm, 20mm and 20mm, you would get 8000mm but when you convert it to cm, you would get 800cm. However if you convert 20mm, 20mm and 20mm to 2cm, 2cm and 2cm then you would have 8cm and 800mm? Why is that? And which is right?

I gave this homework assignment last night and had the kids do two of the problems in class, so they knew what to do on their own. I get one back today with the nastiest note ever! About how I need to do my job and make sure they understand their homework. I was so insulted! Do parents really expect that their kids will always know how to do their homework? I didn't when I was in school.

I am trying to figure out a way to help my mother, she had purchased a 35 year old mobile home and in the back bathroom , she had noticed carpet was wet around the toilet, so I pulled up the toilet and carpet(why anyone would put carpet around toilet is a good question) and noticed that there were wedges of wood under toilet (probably due to fact that the floor had gotten wet and had warped) also I noticed that there is alot of wax , I would guess, this is for extra sealing or trying to take up for warpage, not really sure, I do know one thing , I would like to try and fix this myself, due to fact its hard to find someone that can do a job without overpricing it, I was wondering if I need to change the whole sub floor and would I need to replace or remove drain for the toilet? I have never tackled anything like this and was wondering if I shouldnt even attempt, on a scale of 1-10 , how would someone with experience with this rate it ? somthing for professional or what? should I attempt

I know it is a personal decision but I just don't feel done. I currently have 3 kids, all under 4 (my oldest will be 4 next month) and really want another one. But I know if I have another one I won't be able to provide as many activities for each of them. On the other hand, they have each other and family is so important. Money will always be an issue, but it isn't the most important thing right? We have a big enough house, and we will be able to feed, clothe and provide some activities for each...college will be hard, but we are already saving for the 3 I have now...so am I crazy to have a fourth? If not, am I crazy to want one soon? Thanks for your opinions!

I have a friend who has no religion and no ambitions for the fututre. This friend is also at the point where they aren't really concerned witht he pain that it would cause others were they to go through with it.
For me my faith and my ambitions and my loved ones are what keep me going when I'm down. What do you tell someone who doesn't have any of these things?

Time freezing powers: You can freeze time (not go forward or backward in time). This will stop all activitity, but you will be able to move within your enviroment.

Would you age at a faster rate, slower rate, or no change if you kept time frozen while you mastered being a concert violinist?

According to this recent news article
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070413/ap_on_go_ot/abstinence_study
The average age of first sexual experience was 14 years 9 mos.

Does that seem average to you younger folk? Or a little on the young side? I would have guessed 16 years old. But- my reference point is from the 70's.

I think that they may misrepresented the data- as this may be the average of those that *had* sex.

And he puts everything (tools etc) right by him...one time he had a car part where I walk...and I gashed my leg on it...that is just CRAZY in my book...I keep telling hin nicely not to do it...but guess what???

They picked Leonard Peltier as the guy to pin the killings on and call them murders, even though everyone else in the case got off with the "justified self defense" plea. The FBI covered up evidence and misdirected the jury, and now even the federal judges who sat on the case now say they have problems with how the government conducted the trial. He got no fair trial, why is he still in prison? maybe there really is no justice. Check out: http://www.freepeltier.org/

I got a response from someone "over 3,333 American soldiers have been killed and another 33, 000 wounded, many horribly crippled and disfigured for life. Incredibly brave young men and women—yet in reality victims of a fundamentalist/political cult’s deadly shadow. The independent public database, www.iraqbodycount.net, reports over 600,000 innocent civilian deaths in Iraq resulting directly from military action by the United States and its allies" If this is even close to being true. The war for freedom? is misleading! Too many lives have suffered to get where they are right now. And nothing has been resolved. Sadam Husein must look like a Saint compared to Bush???

Because they think it is what you expect from them! Women were not put on this earth just to be your eye candy. Yeah some will say women choose to wear that stuff to because they want to look good. But honestly it takes a lot of effort to keep all that up. Do you really think so many would dress up if they really had a choice? I'm sure they would love to get away with doing less. And if you marry someone because of how they look and then they change after you marry, did it ever occur to you they were only trying to keep your from getting away? Stop being so damn superfacial. It's one thing to want to feel good about yourself, but its another to expect a person to be constantly pleasing you.
