Get an attorney. If your going to do it yourself then first you need to go to the clerk of courts and get divorce paperwork there might be a fee for that. Then you fill them out. Return to clerk of courts and file them. The clerk will put a case number on it. You will also have to have divorce papers served on your husband their is a fee for that. Once he is served with papers he has 30 days to respond. If he can't be found then there has to be public notice done in 3 different place (like newspaper, courthouse...etc) and it has to be there for a lenght of time. Since you have children it can take longer and is more detailed. To protect yourself and your kids use an Attorney it will give you more peace of mind.

If you want to file yourself, you can go purchase a Do It Yourself Divorce kit at Barnes and Knoble. It contains a CD-rom that is loaded with all the forms you need. If you want a detailed plan, you might want to use a Marital Settlement Agreement. That is, if you can agree on everything.
The judge will be very happy to see that you could settle things amongst yourself.

Get an attorney, tell them what you want and they will file all the neccesary paperwork. Just dont fool yourself into believing you will get everything you want in the divorce.

Find a local lawyer & once you have a meeting with him, he'll handle everything for you. That's what you'll be paying him for. Write down any & all questions you may have for your lawyer. It'll be easier for you to have them handy when you see the lawyer. Since you're filing for divorce, you will be responsible for paying for it.

Just ask anybody. The percentage of divorce is so freaking high because nobody believes in marriage or takes their vows seriously.
