The USS Iowa and the USS Wisconsin served thier efforts very well into the persian gulf war. They could be remodified for today's Navy. Though we will have to Upgrade thier: radar, Anti-Aircraft, Anti Ship, and etc. but if we do make the upgrade there will have to be a goal that it must be able to perform. it must be able to shoot within a 63 nautical mile radius. the current it ca shoot is within a 24 mile nautical mile radius. we would have to make a great upgrader to thier mark 7 main guns for the weapon to shoot that far. and if it were capable of this, the whole concept of Battleship Vs. Airforce will be greatly looked at with that we have tested her sea worthess back when Tyhpon Cobra hit them, when Typhon cobra hit them, they lost 3 destroyers, planes in the aircrafts hangers fell out into the ocean, and the USS Wisconsin only reported two injuries on her deck. and rest of the fleet there suffered 790 casualties total, and 80 injured. So I think she's seaworthy/strong enough.

I have been working towards graduating on time from college - this may - and I will be finished with my BA in english adn a minor in Comparative Literature - but I recently found out about a minor in Journalism that I can complete in another semester but that would mean not graduating "on time". What should I do - I was planning on pursuing my masters in English starting in the fall as well and am looking for jobs now at the same time - It is becoming overwhelming? What should I do? Get job and pursue the masters, do the journalism and find a part time job for one more semester and then do the masters? - anyone ever in this situation? whats more important graduating on time and just starting to work somewhere or finishing school then working? I need guidance

Man will always find a reason to fight. If it isn't religion, it would be race, skin color, hair color, eye color, height difference, etc... as long as there are ANY differences, man will join with those like him to the detriment of those unlike him.

It is our nature.

I have 2 dogs, and my boyfriend has 2 dogs (we all live together). His dogs don't do this, but if someone even comes near me in a hostile way.. my dogs go nuts. They bark nonstop and attempt to bite the person until they back off.

I have a 1 y/o mini dachshund and a 4 y/o basset/beagle. My boyfriends dogs are border collie mixes.

Any specific programme that you loath is what I'm after rather than just saying soaps generally for example.

I can't stand Masterchef. Two pious div chefs being far too judgemental of people who themselves treat making food like brain surgery and cry into their custard if they lose.

It's about a guy who started working in the same office about a couple of months ago. We don't work in the same department but we casually talk, email/message every day in the office. A few weeks ago we went for lunch together and the next week Friday we went for drinks after work. He initiated the both occasions and we sneaked out to avoid being caught by other colleagues. I really like this guy (he doens't know) but I am very confused because he says he is not up for office relationships (though he also said "unless it's serious"). What does this mean? Is he just expecting me to be his close workmate???

First, I am a 25 year old male, very athletic. I work out about 4 days a week(well, prior to the difficulty taking deep breaths). I do not smoke. I have never had any breathing problems in the past.

For the last couple months, I have been having having difficulty taking deep breaths, almost daily. It is really uncomfortable. It's like I have to strain to take a deep breath, and even then it doesnt fix anything.

I did go to the doctor and had chest xrays. Xrays were fine. He gave me some allergy medicine in case it was that, which did not help. I also have tried xanex b/c it was suggested i may have anxiety, but xanex also has not helped. By the way, there is nothing stressful or anything like that going on in my life, so dont think it's anxiety.

If anyone can please help me, and tell me what I may have or how to fix it. Also is there ANYTHING around the house that I may all of the sudden become allergic to that would cause this? Im at a total loss here. Thanks!

The place I am thinking of is clay soil, but has had evergreen-type leaves dropping onto it for a few years and then rotting down. It is in the shade of two large trees (although not under). I live in SW Britain, so there's enough rain.

I want to plant something productive - either fruit, vegetables or herbs, as it is an extention to my kitchen garden. If you can't come up with anything productive then feel free to say a flower or something.

TIA

I was talking to a friend today and she has 2 children with autism. I ahve a child who has mild autisic feature and I began to think - could two moms open a school for children to come to to have a coach and work on 3 goals at a time to learn better social habits and try to better mainstream themselves more for socializing within the family, school and later on work. Can each child be assigned a coach to work on 3 goals 2x a week for 2 hours each time? Work individually and then some time to do a circle like time to practice group social skills. Is this a mode that can be used to help our children? I am social worker and my friend is a speech pathologist and we are parents. There isnt anything like this in our area. Just brainstorming here - so please send my your feedback about this very basic and preliminary idea.
